Monday 13th July

We leave this damn camp site!!! YAY no more cold nights!!! So yesterday we were thinking about going to this place called Bargara, but had no way of getting there so we made our way there, got a taxi in the end though was $20. When we arrived we were looking for some camp sites so as i've been doing here across Australia i've been carrying my 20kg backpack but as Caz had so much i was carrying here 20kg backpack too, so walking round this small place for about 2hrs looking for a damn camp site to stay in .... yes i was sweating so much as the heat was so strong, finally we found a place after asking loadddddssss of people. It was right next to the beach and it looked great! So we booked in, only $11 per person, per night! Was great! So we got told where to go in the camp site and we made our way, we got a non-powered site as we were only going to be staying for one night .... so we found were we are staying .... its a patch of grass .... we have no tent .... FUCK! I had to just laugh! I couldnt believe this, we thought it would be like the other campsite with little tea-peas or something! So we made our way back to reception kind of embaressed that we had no tent and we asked were we could get one, the women said there might be a few places in the little village, so its 1400hrs now so we made our 30min trek back into the little village and asked around for any tents for sale, no were had any! We spent about 2hrs looking for a damn tent! Ok its 1600hrs now, so we decided to make our way back to camp and ask for some advice, the only way we could get a tent is if we went all the way into the CBD (Central Buisness District), the last bus runs now and we wouldnt be able to get a bus back so we would have to get a taxi ... we wernt going to do that as getting transport there and back and buying a tent, it would have cost shit loads!! So we got a cabin for like $40 each, was a bit expensive compared to all the hostels we've been staying in but we needed somewere to stay, as soon as we got into the cabin, i chucked down my bag and saw how amazing it was, comfortable double beds with pillows! Free tea and coffee!! A lounge area with T.V and a proper kitchen, by the time we had booked in and took in this amazing place as staying here seemed like a pent house room in a hotel compared to the hostels and camp sites, so we had a shower, i made loads of cups of coffee for myself (Caz doesnt drink coffee or tea ... so more for me!) and we had a shower by the time we settled in and watched a bit of T.V it was like 2100hrs already, im starving .... and guess what theres no were open! We only had complimentary coffee and tea but no damn food! So we sat there watching T.V till about midnight and then decided to call it a night.

Tuesday 14th July

Got up at 0700hrs to go to Woolworths (again its a big supermarket over here like sainsburys or something) and brought loads of food to make a full english breaky! I was soooo happy to finally eat some decent food! So got back and cooked one amazing fry up as im the man at fry ups! haha. So once we had a very filling breaky we got up to clock out at 1000hrs and left our backpacks at reception as we were going to look around for other campsites to see if they had any spare tea-peas or something and we went looking for jobs. so we spent the whole day looking for somewhere else to stay, a job and got food along the way of course, couldnt find anywhere so we decided to stay in the cabin again, so we went back to the camp site at 1600hrs and they told us all there cabins had been booked out .... SHIT! So we made our way into the village centre quick to find somewhere to stay, everything was well over $100 a night and theres no hostels! I wasnt freaking out as i was thinking of just staying on the beach next to a fire as i thought it would be awsome, but Caz really didnt want to do it, so we found a motel which actually looked like something out of a horror film and the man and women who owned it seemed crazy and they stunk of booze, i wasnt staying there for shit, i dont want to get murdered here, especially as i've only been here like 7 weeks now!! So we made our way back to reception to collect our stuff before it closed and to think about what to do, 1700hrs we got there and just made it to collect our stuff, we then went and sat on a becnh next to the beach to decide what to do, i was quite happy with the idea of staying on the beach, but Caz was having none of it and was now getting a bit stressed on where we are going to sleep, dont think i was helping by saying "the beach" constantly, haha.
So we decided at like 1740hrs to run back into the centre and stay at the hostel, so i was practically running with two bags weighing 40kg alltogether (yeh i know its light but spread out over your body its pretty tough!), Finally made it there and booked in for like $30 each so wasnt too bad, we then got showed around our room by the two drunk crazy people who owned the place .... we were even showed how to use the damn T.V and shower .... i couldnt stop laughing as i found it soooo damn funny! When they left we decided to go for a Chinease as its all you can eat! So we went to this place and the food was great, Caz had one plate and didnt finish it but i stacked up like 4 plates and was loving it, was great! When we got back to the hostel we decided to chill out watching T.V, as the new harry potter film has come out there showing all the films on T.V so we watched the Prisoner of Azkhaban one, Caz has never seen or read the books so she didnt know what the hell was going on! lol. After watching that we decided to call it a night .... well we wanted to apart from there was a shadow constantly outside our window, im freaking out now, so i picked up a chair and couldnt see anyone ... then when i was about to close the door i heard someone open a door so i looked out and it was the crazy women ... still drunk ... she was complaining about the noise coming from next door as there T.V was a bit too loud for her, so i quickly ran inside as i did not want another long winded conversation with her! lol. When i got back into bed me and Caz heard her banging on there door and when they answered she asked if they could turn down the T.V as next door was complaining about it (next door is us!) What is the crazy women on! I didnt say anything! So ignored it and went to sleep then got woken up at about 0500hrs and heard car doors slamming and stuff, it sounded like someone was dragging bodys into a car, then there was a shadow of a figure at our window, so i was now just pissed off, so i stayed up for a bit then heard a car drive away and just fell back asleep.

Wednesday 15th July

Got up to check out at 1000hrs again, we left our backpacks at the motel with the women ... who was DRINKING at this time of the morning! We then made our way into town to get a damn tent! So after looking around for a tent for about 3hrs we got a two man tent and we got one for 30bucks ... but i still have no damn sleeping bag!! So we made our way back to the Motel and collected our bags and I had to carry them (at this rate im going to get toned up by the time i get back!! lol. So when we got back I set up the tent while Caz went and got ready as we decided to go out for something to eat, we went to this place called Hakuna Matata! I had two HUGE lamb shanks and Caz had some little duck (Caz hates eating pig, cow and lamb apart from chicken and duck ... i know wierd) but my mouth was watering as it was soooo good, i have never tasted a better Lamb shank, i would work here just to be fed these everyday! So after the meal we went to the nearest watering hole (bar, lol) as i wanted to watch the state of origin match (rugby, Queensland vs New South Wales), then we decided to make our way back to the tent and lay out on the grass underneath the stars .... its really amazing how many stars you can see when your in a tiny little area out in the bush, as there is no street lights at all the sky is covered in Stars, can even see the milky way (i think, lol) i tryed taking a picture but it wouldnt work, was amazing to see. But as i've said its so diffrent from seeing it with your own eyes than seeing it in a picture, so after chilling out we went to bed.

Thursday 16th July

We got up early and went round absolutly everywhere looking for a job ... it took absolutly ages but no luck!! But i we went back to this scuba shop were the guy who owned it (Jak) gave us free internet and print offs and was giving us a free hour dive tomorrow!! Cant wait for that! So after searching everywere in this small town and even walking 30mins out to check the area for farms and that we had no luck so we just walked back to town and decided to leave for this strawberry farm about 30mins drive south, so when we got back we got something to eat and chilled out and called it an early night as we've got a really long day ahead of us.

Friday 17th July

Got up at 0900hrs to check out and get down to this strawberry farm as we want work there! As im still looking for farm work to get my second year visa! We had to turn down the free dive as we need work and its more important (This is proof that im searching so hard, i gave up a damn FREE dive!!). So after looking around for ways to get down there the only possible way was getting a damn taxi as no busses go that far out !! So we got a taxi booked and made our way there as the women said we would get work in a couple of days when i rang her, so once we got to this massive strawberry farm, we were definatly going to get some work!! So spoke to the husband and .... no work for 2 weeks, i cant last that long!! This is stupid!! So we asked were the nearest campsite was and they said it was only just down the road. So carrying the 40kgs we walked along the grain harvest train tracks ... it proper felt like we were back packing walking across train tracks! But i was knackered after carrying all this weight for like 15mins!! This bus passed by and asked if we wanted a lift but she wasnt going the same direction!! DAMN! So we pushed on and carried on walking in this extreme heat ... about 30mins later we got to this camp site were i was shattered!! Once we got to this camp site ... IT WAS HORRIBLE, was really dirty and it stank but were backpacking so cant be fussy but the irish princess im travelling with doesnt want to stay there! There was no way we were camping any were else as all you can see for miles is flat farm land! We were in the middle of no were! So we decided to start walking back and then the guy who owned the campsite offered us a lift to this other campsite .. the drive was like 20mins away so walking that distance would have killed me and the sun was just setting! So we arrived at Elliots Heads and booked into the campsite for the night. Darly got back yesterday from New Zealand with his working holiday visa and was going to come down to us ... Well, thats if there was work, and there isnt any! Im stressing out slightly now as i have only got 90 bucks left, so trying to think of any solutions and there was none so we had a shower and went to bed.

Saturday 18th July

We woke up to make our journey down to Brisbane (AGAIN) as its my last hope to find any work possible! When we checked out we asked about bus journeys and the guy said one was leaving ... NOW, so we made our run to the bus stop and just saw it left ... the only one running today! Shit! So i went back to reception and got train times ... last train to Brisbane is leaving in 15mins .. We are no way near going to make it there in time! So i was fucked, i was going to start walking towards Bundy CBD, it would have took about 2hrs!! But Caz wanted to go now and not walk so she payed for the taxi :D, lol. Once we got to Bundaberg CBD we went to the bus stop and went to see if any busses were going to Brisbane ... last one leaves in 10mins!! SWEEEET!! So that drained the last bit of my money, i have absolutly nothing left .... AGAIN, and no more coming in from home, so on the bus journey i tryed to enjoy it while i can, the views were great, i love travelling like this, watching films on the journey on the T.V on the bus and just taking in some sites. So we touched down in Brisbane at about 1830hrs and we needed to get to this place we had no idea of getting too! So we got a taxi ... AGAIN ... so while Caz checked in to this hostel called bunk, i ran into Daryls room, were, Natalie, Chris, Lyndsay, Mike and Keenan are staying! So i chucked my bag in there and was going to have a couple of free nights hiding in the room! Later that night Daryl brought some goon and i thought i would join in on the fun ... so we had to smuggle goon in as in Brisbane theres no Hostel which will allow you to bring your own drink in, if you do you get kicked out! Also i found out someone was hiding in this hostel a couple weeks ago and the police was called, he was fined and got charged with tresspassing, not sure if he had to leave the country though. So after getting wasted and catching up with people i havnt seen in almost a month! Then passed out on Lyndsay's bed as they were all out and i think she got lucky so i had a bed to stay in!! haha.

Sunday 19th July

Woke up at 0800hrs as i needed to find a job and a solution!! Everyone was still passed out as they were hanging badly!! But i wasnt :D. So after spending all day trying to find a job and using 30mins free internet time at every cafe i went to i had no damn luck!! So when i got back to the hostel i was just chilling out with everyone in the room ... o yeh i forgot theres this Australian guy called Greg in our room too! Everyone loves hearing my journeys so far as im "Winging it" in a new way in Australia! So im lucky that im writing all this down as im never going to want to forget these times!! I also spoke to my Dad and asked if i could pinch 100quid of him as i need to get some accomodation and food for the next few days! So after chilling out chatting to people Caroline and Daryl asked if i wanted to go to the cinema ... with what im skint!! So they offered to pay for me until im earning again, they said that im going to love what were going to watch ... i clicked ... OMG TRANSFORMERS 2 !!!!! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!! So we made our stomp down there to watch the film ... i was walking a bit too fast for Caz but i was soo excited i want to see it now!! When we got into the cinema i was literally jumping around everywhere i was so happy but i had to wait 40mins till it started .... I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER!!! Got some drinks and went in there, im so sad and childish that i was almost crying as i was soooo happy to finally see this!! THE BEST 2HRS AND 45MINS OF MY LIFE !! When it finished i could not help but shout that was better than the ending of sex ... hahaha. So leaving the cinema i was jumping around everywhere and acting like a child with my transformers t-shirt on, so when we got back i was just telling everyone how amazing it was! Then fell asleep with all the excitement.

Been here for 2months now ... so close to that 3month mark were i have proven to all thos i would last 3 months!! Haha. Im true to my word!

Monday 20th July

Woke up early to look for a job with Caroline and Daryl ... were lookign for ages and i've just been sending out mass e-mails to people for jobs, applying for actually everything!! We then heard that Carig Banks was on his way back from the farm after 1 1/2 weeks on the farm as he didnt like it (hes a city boy) so hes going to arrive at like 1900hrs tonight! So we then went to this big internet/travel agent place as they had job help going on ... Yeh you have to pay 30bucks to join them and they will get you a job ... i've already payed for a job agency and there useless so im not paying for anymore!! Then while we were there i had a phone call ... I have a job interview in 1hr!!! O yes!! So we quickly made it back to our hostel (Bunk) and got ready for this BIG day for me!! When i got there it was commission based work ... o well i've got the 'silver tongue' as its been called over here! Plus i need a job so i need some income!! My training starts on Wednesday so when i got back to the hostel i payed for 5 days and went shopping for a weeks worth of food ... bread, beans, pasta and pasta sauce ... YUMMY ... NOT. That night they all brought some goon and we had a couple of drinks as Craig was back!! So we chilled out and learned about his adventures ... he had to stab a pig as he had to put it out of its misery, he also had a gun to shoot rabbits, a quad bike, his own room ... i would LOVE that job!!! But im in Brissy now and cant move anywere at the moment!

Tuesday 21st July

Got up late today as i had a job so i wanted to chill out, so went on a little wander around Brisbane CBD ... the buildings are huge !! Its like a mini Sydney!! So after spending the day travelling around i decided to make my journey back to Bunk and see what everyones up too. Craig, Daryl and Caroline are going to see Harry Potter at the cinema ... i need to save my money (being responsible again, haha). So Keenan, Chris and the others were at the bar, it was quiz night with Jo (shes this hot piece of Australian ass!! haha) Theres 5 rounds and each round has a bonus round were you can win a jug of beer for your team, the winning team also wins 2 Fraser Island tickets!! We were just having a laugh winning all the jugs. There was two gaming rounds too. Pict-o-gram thingy and jenga. Then on the last round ... we brougt our position straight up too 1st ... WE WON THE FRASER ISLAND TICKETS!! As the guys in my group have already done fraser island we decided to sell them to whoever we can. After having a few drinks i decided to call it a night as i have training tomorrow.

Wednesday 22nd July

Got up at around 1100hrs today as i have my training at 1300. Got washed, dressed and had something to eat and made my way to the training. The Australia Government is giving every home owner $1600 to put insulation in there roofs, so i thought this was great, im not selling anything dodgy and im not ripping people off! Awsome! So once i finished my training at about 1800hrs, went back grabbed something to eat and explained to everyone what i was doing so it sounded sweeet as!! After that i called it a night and went to bed.

Thursday 23rd July

Up at 0900hrs as i have my first day off work today. So got to work for 1000hrs and went over our sales pitch and got a bit fo training about how to sell yourself and not the product (wow im kind of doing prostitution now!) and how to measure up the house when they want it down by m2 and all that ... So once being taughtwhat to do very quickly we were each given our turf and chucked right out there ... Ok i was shitting it but the motivation of NEEDING money was pushing me so i just went for it, spent about 5hrs and got a couple of people to sign up, thats me earned rent and food for a week already $240 that works out to be! But of course i wont get payed it until 2 weeks on Friday. So went back to the hostel made myself food all chuffed about being top rep for my first day ... got praised loads!! Im a natural at this!! haha. Chilled out at the bar with people seeing what there doing and that and then went to my dorm and tryed studying a bit more so i can make more money tomorrow!!

Friday 24th July

Up early to be there for 1000hrs again. Im so happy now, i've landed on my feet ... AGAIN ... and i have a sweet paying job, im going to be able to do the east coast in no time at all!! Just gotta figure something out for money at the moment as my rent runs out on Monday but i'll think about that later as everything works out for me. So after making only 1 more sale today i decided to go back to Bunk and see what everyone was up too, mostly everyones going clubbing but im not as 1. I cant afford it and 2. I need to save money!! Sensible and Mature Rob i am now!! So i just went to the bar and chilled out with a couple of people. Im still buzzing about how sweet this is, getting payed loads, finally got a job and loving it!! Im going to be earning loads!! WOOOOO!!

Saturday 25th July

Had a lay in today so woke up at about 1200 hrs. Dont have any credit so its hard to get hold of people and im starting to feel left out of the group as Caroline and Daryl just go off and do things and i can never get hold of them as i have no money and never get a txt even though there txting and ringing each other, feels like im being left out alot now. So went and spent the day up in the T.V room watching tons and tons of films, then called it a night.

Sunday 26th July

Had a late night last night watching all thos films so i had ANOTHER lay in ... i know a hard life isnt it!! haha. Then went and sat in Keenans and the others rooms to see how there doing and that. There all well happy for me that im finally working, earning and on my feet again!! So chilling with them and drinking there goon was a good laugh. I then decided to get a phone card and ring home! Well i was slightly plastered and i rang absolutly everyone, i was on the phone back hom trying to call as many people as possible for about 3hrs (i can only ring thoughs whos house numbers i have, so sorry people who have given me your mobile numbers i will txt you as soon as i get some credit which shouldnt be long now that im working hard :D) So im going to call it a night at like 0200hrs as i have work again tomorrow!!
