Monday 13th July
We leave this damn camp site!!! YAY no more cold nights!!! So yesterday we were thinking about going to this place called Bargara, but had no way of getting there so we made our way there, got a taxi in the end though was $20. When we arrived we were looking for some camp sites so as i've been doing here across Australia i've been carrying my 20kg backpack but as Caz had so much i was carrying here 20kg backpack too, so walking round this small place for about 2hrs looking for a damn camp site to stay in .... yes i was sweating so much as the heat was so strong, finally we found a place after asking loadddddssss of people. It was right next to the beach and it looked great! So we booked in, only $11 per person, per night! Was great! So we got told where to go in the camp site and we made our way, we got a non-powered site as we were only going to be staying for one night .... so we found were we are staying .... its a patch of grass .... we have no tent .... FUCK! I had to just laugh! I couldnt believe this, we thought it would be like the other campsite with little tea-peas or something! So we made our way back to reception kind of embaressed that we had no tent and we asked were we could get one, the women said there might be a few places in the little village, so its 1400hrs now so we made our 30min trek back into the little village and asked around for any tents for sale, no were had any! We spent about 2hrs looking for a damn tent! Ok its 1600hrs now, so we decided to make our way back to camp and ask for some advice, the only way we could get a tent is if we went all the way into the CBD (Central Buisness District), the last bus runs now and we wouldnt be able to get a bus back so we would have to get a taxi ... we wernt going to do that as getting transport there and back and buying a tent, it would have cost shit loads!! So we got a cabin for like $40 each, was a bit expensive compared to all the hostels we've been staying in but we needed somewere to stay, as soon as we got into the cabin, i chucked down my bag and saw how amazing it was, comfortable double beds with pillows! Free tea and coffee!! A lounge area with T.V and a proper kitchen, by the time we had booked in and took in this amazing place as staying here seemed like a pent house room in a hotel compared to the hostels and camp sites, so we had a shower, i made loads of cups of coffee for myself (Caz doesnt drink coffee or tea ... so more for me!) and we had a shower by the time we settled in and watched a bit of T.V it was like 2100hrs already, im starving .... and guess what theres no were open! We only had complimentary coffee and tea but no damn food! So we sat there watching T.V till about midnight and then decided to call it a night.
Tuesday 14th July
Got up at 0700hrs to go to Woolworths (again its a big supermarket over here like sainsburys or something) and brought loads of food to make a full english breaky! I was soooo happy to finally eat some decent food! So got back and cooked one amazing fry up as im the man at fry ups! haha. So once we had a very filling breaky we got up to clock out at 1000hrs and left our backpacks at reception as we were going to look around for other campsites to see if they had any spare tea-peas or something and we went looking for jobs. so we spent the whole day looking for somewhere else to stay, a job and got food along the way of course, couldnt find anywhere so we decided to stay in the cabin again, so we went back to the camp site at 1600hrs and they told us all there cabins had been booked out .... SHIT! So we made our way into the village centre quick to find somewhere to stay, everything was well over $100 a night and theres no hostels! I wasnt freaking out as i was thinking of just staying on the beach next to a fire as i thought it would be awsome, but Caz really didnt want to do it, so we found a motel which actually looked like something out of a horror film and the man and women who owned it seemed crazy and they stunk of booze, i wasnt staying there for shit, i dont want to get murdered here, especially as i've only been here like 7 weeks now!! So we made our way back to reception to collect our stuff before it closed and to think about what to do, 1700hrs we got there and just made it to collect our stuff, we then went and sat on a becnh next to the beach to decide what to do, i was quite happy with the idea of staying on the beach, but Caz was having none of it and was now getting a bit stressed on where we are going to sleep, dont think i was helping by saying "the beach" constantly, haha.
So we decided at like 1740hrs to run back into the centre and stay at the hostel, so i was practically running with two bags weighing 40kg alltogether (yeh i know its light but spread out over your body its pretty tough!), Finally made it there and booked in for like $30 each so wasnt too bad, we then got showed around our room by the two drunk crazy people who owned the place .... we were even showed how to use the damn T.V and shower .... i couldnt stop laughing as i found it soooo damn funny! When they left we decided to go for a Chinease as its all you can eat! So we went to this place and the food was great, Caz had one plate and didnt finish it but i stacked up like 4 plates and was loving it, was great! When we got back to the hostel we decided to chill out watching T.V, as the new harry potter film has come out there showing all the films on T.V so we watched the Prisoner of Azkhaban one, Caz has never seen or read the books so she didnt know what the hell was going on! lol. After watching that we decided to call it a night .... well we wanted to apart from there was a shadow constantly outside our window, im freaking out now, so i picked up a chair and couldnt see anyone ... then when i was about to close the door i heard someone open a door so i looked out and it was the crazy women ... still drunk ... she was complaining about the noise coming from next door as there T.V was a bit too loud for her, so i quickly ran inside as i did not want another long winded conversation with her! lol. When i got back into bed me and Caz heard her banging on there door and when they answered she asked if they could turn down the T.V as next door was complaining about it (next door is us!) What is the crazy women on! I didnt say anything! So ignored it and went to sleep then got woken up at about 0500hrs and heard car doors slamming and stuff, it sounded like someone was dragging bodys into a car, then there was a shadow of a figure at our window, so i was now just pissed off, so i stayed up for a bit then heard a car drive away and just fell back asleep.
Wednesday 15th July
Got up to check out at 1000hrs again, we left our backpacks at the motel with the women ... who was DRINKING at this time of the morning! We then made our way into town to get a damn tent! So after looking around for a tent for about 3hrs we got a two man tent and we got one for 30bucks ... but i still have no damn sleeping bag!! So we made our way back to the Motel and collected our bags and I had to carry them (at this rate im going to get toned up by the time i get back!! lol. So when we got back I set up the tent while Caz went and got ready as we decided to go out for something to eat, we went to this place called Hakuna Matata! I had two HUGE lamb shanks and Caz had some little duck (Caz hates eating pig, cow and lamb apart from chicken and duck ... i know wierd) but my mouth was watering as it was soooo good, i have never tasted a better Lamb shank, i would work here just to be fed these everyday! So after the meal we went to the nearest watering hole (bar, lol) as i wanted to watch the state of origin match (rugby, Queensland vs New South Wales), then we decided to make our way back to the tent and lay out on the grass underneath the stars .... its really amazing how many stars you can see when your in a tiny little area out in the bush, as there is no street lights at all the sky is covered in Stars, can even see the milky way (i think, lol) i tryed taking a picture but it wouldnt work, was amazing to see. But as i've said its so diffrent from seeing it with your own eyes than seeing it in a picture, so after chilling out we went to bed.
Thursday 16th July
We got up early and went round absolutly everywhere looking for a job ... it took absolutly ages but no luck!! But i we went back to this scuba shop were the guy who owned it (Jak) gave us free internet and print offs and was giving us a free hour dive tomorrow!! Cant wait for that! So after searching everywere in this small town and even walking 30mins out to check the area for farms and that we had no luck so we just walked back to town and decided to leave for this strawberry farm about 30mins drive south, so when we got back we got something to eat and chilled out and called it an early night as we've got a really long day ahead of us.
Friday 17th July
Got up at 0900hrs to check out and get down to this strawberry farm as we want work there! As im still looking for farm work to get my second year visa! We had to turn down the free dive as we need work and its more important (This is proof that im searching so hard, i gave up a damn FREE dive!!). So after looking around for ways to get down there the only possible way was getting a damn taxi as no busses go that far out !! So we got a taxi booked and made our way there as the women said we would get work in a couple of days when i rang her, so once we got to this massive strawberry farm, we were definatly going to get some work!! So spoke to the husband and .... no work for 2 weeks, i cant last that long!! This is stupid!! So we asked were the nearest campsite was and they said it was only just down the road. So carrying the 40kgs we walked along the grain harvest train tracks ... it proper felt like we were back packing walking across train tracks! But i was knackered after carrying all this weight for like 15mins!! This bus passed by and asked if we wanted a lift but she wasnt going the same direction!! DAMN! So we pushed on and carried on walking in this extreme heat ... about 30mins later we got to this camp site were i was shattered!! Once we got to this camp site ... IT WAS HORRIBLE, was really dirty and it stank but were backpacking so cant be fussy but the irish princess im travelling with doesnt want to stay there! There was no way we were camping any were else as all you can see for miles is flat farm land! We were in the middle of no were! So we decided to start walking back and then the guy who owned the campsite offered us a lift to this other campsite .. the drive was like 20mins away so walking that distance would have killed me and the sun was just setting! So we arrived at Elliots Heads and booked into the campsite for the night. Darly got back yesterday from New Zealand with his working holiday visa and was going to come down to us ... Well, thats if there was work, and there isnt any! Im stressing out slightly now as i have only got 90 bucks left, so trying to think of any solutions and there was none so we had a shower and went to bed.
Saturday 18th July
We woke up to make our journey down to Brisbane (AGAIN) as its my last hope to find any work possible! When we checked out we asked about bus journeys and the guy said one was leaving ... NOW, so we made our run to the bus stop and just saw it left ... the only one running today! Shit! So i went back to reception and got train times ... last train to Brisbane is leaving in 15mins .. We are no way near going to make it there in time! So i was fucked, i was going to start walking towards Bundy CBD, it would have took about 2hrs!! But Caz wanted to go now and not walk so she payed for the taxi :D, lol. Once we got to Bundaberg CBD we went to the bus stop and went to see if any busses were going to Brisbane ... last one leaves in 10mins!! SWEEEET!! So that drained the last bit of my money, i have absolutly nothing left .... AGAIN, and no more coming in from home, so on the bus journey i tryed to enjoy it while i can, the views were great, i love travelling like this, watching films on the journey on the T.V on the bus and just taking in some sites. So we touched down in Brisbane at about 1830hrs and we needed to get to this place we had no idea of getting too! So we got a taxi ... AGAIN ... so while Caz checked in to this hostel called bunk, i ran into Daryls room, were, Natalie, Chris, Lyndsay, Mike and Keenan are staying! So i chucked my bag in there and was going to have a couple of free nights hiding in the room! Later that night Daryl brought some goon and i thought i would join in on the fun ... so we had to smuggle goon in as in Brisbane theres no Hostel which will allow you to bring your own drink in, if you do you get kicked out! Also i found out someone was hiding in this hostel a couple weeks ago and the police was called, he was fined and got charged with tresspassing, not sure if he had to leave the country though. So after getting wasted and catching up with people i havnt seen in almost a month! Then passed out on Lyndsay's bed as they were all out and i think she got lucky so i had a bed to stay in!! haha.
Sunday 19th July
Woke up at 0800hrs as i needed to find a job and a solution!! Everyone was still passed out as they were hanging badly!! But i wasnt :D. So after spending all day trying to find a job and using 30mins free internet time at every cafe i went to i had no damn luck!! So when i got back to the hostel i was just chilling out with everyone in the room ... o yeh i forgot theres this Australian guy called Greg in our room too! Everyone loves hearing my journeys so far as im "Winging it" in a new way in Australia! So im lucky that im writing all this down as im never going to want to forget these times!! I also spoke to my Dad and asked if i could pinch 100quid of him as i need to get some accomodation and food for the next few days! So after chilling out chatting to people Caroline and Daryl asked if i wanted to go to the cinema ... with what im skint!! So they offered to pay for me until im earning again, they said that im going to love what were going to watch ... i clicked ... OMG TRANSFORMERS 2 !!!!! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!! So we made our stomp down there to watch the film ... i was walking a bit too fast for Caz but i was soo excited i want to see it now!! When we got into the cinema i was literally jumping around everywhere i was so happy but i had to wait 40mins till it started .... I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER!!! Got some drinks and went in there, im so sad and childish that i was almost crying as i was soooo happy to finally see this!! THE BEST 2HRS AND 45MINS OF MY LIFE !! When it finished i could not help but shout that was better than the ending of sex ... hahaha. So leaving the cinema i was jumping around everywhere and acting like a child with my transformers t-shirt on, so when we got back i was just telling everyone how amazing it was! Then fell asleep with all the excitement.
Been here for 2months now ... so close to that 3month mark were i have proven to all thos i would last 3 months!! Haha. Im true to my word!
Monday 20th July
Woke up early to look for a job with Caroline and Daryl ... were lookign for ages and i've just been sending out mass e-mails to people for jobs, applying for actually everything!! We then heard that Carig Banks was on his way back from the farm after 1 1/2 weeks on the farm as he didnt like it (hes a city boy) so hes going to arrive at like 1900hrs tonight! So we then went to this big internet/travel agent place as they had job help going on ... Yeh you have to pay 30bucks to join them and they will get you a job ... i've already payed for a job agency and there useless so im not paying for anymore!! Then while we were there i had a phone call ... I have a job interview in 1hr!!! O yes!! So we quickly made it back to our hostel (Bunk) and got ready for this BIG day for me!! When i got there it was commission based work ... o well i've got the 'silver tongue' as its been called over here! Plus i need a job so i need some income!! My training starts on Wednesday so when i got back to the hostel i payed for 5 days and went shopping for a weeks worth of food ... bread, beans, pasta and pasta sauce ... YUMMY ... NOT. That night they all brought some goon and we had a couple of drinks as Craig was back!! So we chilled out and learned about his adventures ... he had to stab a pig as he had to put it out of its misery, he also had a gun to shoot rabbits, a quad bike, his own room ... i would LOVE that job!!! But im in Brissy now and cant move anywere at the moment!
Tuesday 21st July
Got up late today as i had a job so i wanted to chill out, so went on a little wander around Brisbane CBD ... the buildings are huge !! Its like a mini Sydney!! So after spending the day travelling around i decided to make my journey back to Bunk and see what everyones up too. Craig, Daryl and Caroline are going to see Harry Potter at the cinema ... i need to save my money (being responsible again, haha). So Keenan, Chris and the others were at the bar, it was quiz night with Jo (shes this hot piece of Australian ass!! haha) Theres 5 rounds and each round has a bonus round were you can win a jug of beer for your team, the winning team also wins 2 Fraser Island tickets!! We were just having a laugh winning all the jugs. There was two gaming rounds too. Pict-o-gram thingy and jenga. Then on the last round ... we brougt our position straight up too 1st ... WE WON THE FRASER ISLAND TICKETS!! As the guys in my group have already done fraser island we decided to sell them to whoever we can. After having a few drinks i decided to call it a night as i have training tomorrow.
Wednesday 22nd July
Got up at around 1100hrs today as i have my training at 1300. Got washed, dressed and had something to eat and made my way to the training. The Australia Government is giving every home owner $1600 to put insulation in there roofs, so i thought this was great, im not selling anything dodgy and im not ripping people off! Awsome! So once i finished my training at about 1800hrs, went back grabbed something to eat and explained to everyone what i was doing so it sounded sweeet as!! After that i called it a night and went to bed.
Thursday 23rd July
Up at 0900hrs as i have my first day off work today. So got to work for 1000hrs and went over our sales pitch and got a bit fo training about how to sell yourself and not the product (wow im kind of doing prostitution now!) and how to measure up the house when they want it down by m2 and all that ... So once being taughtwhat to do very quickly we were each given our turf and chucked right out there ... Ok i was shitting it but the motivation of NEEDING money was pushing me so i just went for it, spent about 5hrs and got a couple of people to sign up, thats me earned rent and food for a week already $240 that works out to be! But of course i wont get payed it until 2 weeks on Friday. So went back to the hostel made myself food all chuffed about being top rep for my first day ... got praised loads!! Im a natural at this!! haha. Chilled out at the bar with people seeing what there doing and that and then went to my dorm and tryed studying a bit more so i can make more money tomorrow!!
Friday 24th July
Up early to be there for 1000hrs again. Im so happy now, i've landed on my feet ... AGAIN ... and i have a sweet paying job, im going to be able to do the east coast in no time at all!! Just gotta figure something out for money at the moment as my rent runs out on Monday but i'll think about that later as everything works out for me. So after making only 1 more sale today i decided to go back to Bunk and see what everyone was up too, mostly everyones going clubbing but im not as 1. I cant afford it and 2. I need to save money!! Sensible and Mature Rob i am now!! So i just went to the bar and chilled out with a couple of people. Im still buzzing about how sweet this is, getting payed loads, finally got a job and loving it!! Im going to be earning loads!! WOOOOO!!
Saturday 25th July
Had a lay in today so woke up at about 1200 hrs. Dont have any credit so its hard to get hold of people and im starting to feel left out of the group as Caroline and Daryl just go off and do things and i can never get hold of them as i have no money and never get a txt even though there txting and ringing each other, feels like im being left out alot now. So went and spent the day up in the T.V room watching tons and tons of films, then called it a night.
Sunday 26th July
Had a late night last night watching all thos films so i had ANOTHER lay in ... i know a hard life isnt it!! haha. Then went and sat in Keenans and the others rooms to see how there doing and that. There all well happy for me that im finally working, earning and on my feet again!! So chilling with them and drinking there goon was a good laugh. I then decided to get a phone card and ring home! Well i was slightly plastered and i rang absolutly everyone, i was on the phone back hom trying to call as many people as possible for about 3hrs (i can only ring thoughs whos house numbers i have, so sorry people who have given me your mobile numbers i will txt you as soon as i get some credit which shouldnt be long now that im working hard :D) So im going to call it a night at like 0200hrs as i have work again tomorrow!!

Monday 29th June
So after not being fired yesterday we got up to get the bus at 0500hrs today .... we are on the stand by list still and the bus driver wouldnt let us get on the list!! We are fired for sure! What is going on! So we stayed up freaking out waiting for the office to open so we can talk to them, 0830hrs and its open, the women was nasty as anything proper bitch! Was really rude and said she wouldnt give us any contact numbers for Joe and was just being rude so we had nothing left to do but wait until the others came back.1300hrs They all cambe back from work and i asked for Joes number of Rob, apparently Joe still wants us to work ... WHAT A LEGEND! So i rang Joe and he told me to tell the office to put us on the list any probs ring him back ... So went to the office to speak to the demon bitch and she started shouting at me saying i told you not to ring him, i was like, what the fuck no you didnt you crazy bitch (didnt really say that but soooo wanted to) then she started shouting at me saying 2 people will have to be fired now as theres no more room on the farm ... like she knows anything, so shes trying to make me feel bad and shes just being pathetic so i rang up joe and he then rang the office and we were put on the list .... the people who worked there were now just complete wankers to us and were really rude to me and Caroline, hateing this hostel with a passion NOW!! So just chilled the rest of the day and got my daily bottle of Mountain Dew (This stuff is amazing im actually addicted to this drink, no wonder its banned back home, im buzzing!!) Made some food then went to bed for work the next day.
Tuesday 30th June
Work was much easier today but thats because we were only picking the red capsicums, so really didnt make much money, was sooo cold in the morning though, made a fire to keep us warm before we started work, then as soon as the sun comes out my nuts were roasting, such hard work, wish i had my camera to take some pictures of the farm! So we finished at about 1300hrs and went home for a wash, some food and to jsut chill out. 1930hrs the rota was up and me and Caroline had no work tomorrow .... WHAT!!! Rich told us that as theres so many people on the farm Me and Cazza will only be doing 3 days work a week, had to pick 100 buckets a day to break even with food and rent, wont even have a penny to go out or anything to save for my east coast adventure, considering going back to Brisbane now for some work, plus my Step sister is over there so i can see some family. Chilled out for a bit then went to a pub called the Queenslander with Cazza and Neena, had a few drinks and met some Aussie rugby players from Townsville (Way up north near Cairns) who were down for a rugby match on Friday, they were hammered and they were just buying me crap loads of drinks, was a good laugh!
Wednesday 1st July
So got up at about 1000hrs and we went to an internet cafe $5 an hour it costs!! Pricey as anything, got a few numbers or Gumtree so went and got some fish and chips, go to the park and ring some numbers, i also made Caroline try some squid as its so nice but shes too damn fussy and didnt like it. I rang a few places (Carolines a wimp and her accent is a bit strong so i thought i would put my silver tongue to use), rang about 4 places, all just employeed people, then i rang another, told this guy some right bullshit about how me and Cazza are great sales people and how i've done door to door sales before, so we have an interview on Monday in Brisbane! SAWEEEET! But Cazza was still not convinced and wasnt too sure what to do so we went back to the hostel and chilled out, watched Seven (amazing film), had food and saw the rota that everyone had a day off tomorrow, this is stupid now, if it happens again im definatly going!!
Thursday 2nd July
So got up today and as everyone had the day off we all just chilled watching films, payed for another 2nights too as we needed a solid plan on what to do, watched outlaw which is great! But still no damn Transformers!!! :( :( :( :( !!! So after just watching random stuff on T.V all day we went to the Queenslander again for $5 jugs!! It was Neena's birthday tomorrow so we decided to go out tonight. I also got two new names a korean name = Toesu (Which means i study hard, haaha i know!), a Norweigen name = Hardog and a Japanese name = Hiroshi. So after that we went to the best club in Bundy (the one of two clubs here) called Central, got wasted here and they had the best toilets ever!! I mean they were great!! When i was outside i met some Irish dudes who brought me some drinks (do not remember there names at all) and they showed me this massive mirror outside all excited (i just thought they hadnt seen a mirror that big in there life or something) Then they said look at the otherside so i went round and saw the door to the mens toilets so i went in and the urinal is on the otherside of the mirror and you can see everyone but they cant see in!! I was having so much fun pissing on peoples faces but one guy wasnt impressed as the spray back got him, but i was drunk and cracking up and he just laughed it off. So i was wasted and decided to go home as i was too drunk.
Friday 3rd July
0900hrs bout 6 people from the hostel came back (including Caroline) They went back to some random rich guys house and had loads of his alcohol! I MISSED OUT ON FREE BOOZE! So as yet again we had no work that day we just lounged around, Caz was asleep as she had hardly any sleep from partying all night so i went downstairs and chilled out, watching some films on the bed bug infested chairs (lovely i know!), after watching all the films went back upstairs to get Caz up as shes been asleep for wayyyy to long now its like 1500hrs!! When i woke her up she filled me in on last nights mis-haps, this guy offered me and Caroline a room and said he would get us work and we wouldnt have a penny! So i was weighing up my options .... go to Brisbane and do commission work or go to this guys house ..... yupp this guys house as he sounded minted!! So Caz txted him and he got back later on that evening and said he would come pick us up from the hostel tomorrow, SWEET! So chilled out that night watching some films and went to sleep.
Saturday 4th
Woke up at 0800hrs to get everything packed into our bags so we can check out of this shit hole, waited outside for about 10mins and there was this guy who said we can stay at his, he was hench, blatintly a body builder and so was his mate so we got in the 4x4 and went for a quick drive as they needed to sort some stuff out (blatintly proper dodgy shit going on), so i was now shitting myself as i didnt know these people, bout 1300hrs we went for a meal at this Cafe right in the bush called Zest, was very very posh and expensive .... they payed for it, first proper meal in a while, was great! Then we went for a 4 wheel drive along the beach, was mad! I was loving it going at like 90kmph across the beach! Later on that night we went to a bar (like the only one in this remote area), the area we were in was called Moore Park Valley and the bar was great, everyone knew everyone in this tiny place, i met some more people here who were friends of Jeff's (guys house were staying at), so we've met, Sadee, Sammy, Mary-Anne, Benji, Tim and a few others whos names i forgot :P. After being brought loads of alcohol and another meal (with the money they had they were definatly doing some dodgy shit), we then went back to Jeff's house with everyone had went through a drive through alcohol shop (yeh i know just like McDonalds but better!!) and went and drank more back at his where his house was huge and he had two staffi puppies who were tiny and little wimps for staffi's, as i've been on about Transformers so much to Caz she mentioned about it and everyone was saying it was amazing so i was angry when they almost ruined it for me as i still havnt seen the damn film!! Then Jeff came out and gave me a Transformers top which he has but never wore so i happily accepted it!! lol. After thrashing everyone at pool it was like 0400hrs so i decided to call it a night.
Sunday 5th July
Woke up at about 1100hrs, everyone was going to the bar in Moore Park again as it was 'Familly Day' there, so me and Caz were invited along but Caz was hanging as shes ONE BIG LIGHT WEIGHT! So i went by myself and met some more people (i have met so many damn people here in Australia its well hard to remember all the names!) They had loads of activities and that going on so i joined in on the egg and spoon race and won .... i won $30 bar tab so i went straight to the bar and brought crap loads of shots! BARGAIN! At about 1800hrs Jeff went back with Tim to go collect Caz so she then came out but wasnt drinking as she was hanging still (wouldnt be able to handle Southampton then), we then went to Zests again for a very posh dinner again, which was amazing!! Then went back home and watched a film and called it a night.
Been in Australia for 6 weeks!!! Already beaten most of the bets of how long i will last ... GET IN THERE AND STILL LOVING IT HERE!!
Monday 6th July
Woke up early and decided to go into Jeff's home Gym and have a little work out and a swim in his pool in his garden .... Little did we know it was Jeff's birthday today, so we were going into town as we needed to sort out some stuff out, well Caroline did, she went and brought some hair dye and we brought a cake for Jeff which i wrote happy birthday on with icing, when we went to give it to him the icing had all come off and it looked like crap, but still its the thought what counts, we then went looking around for jobs and handing in C.Vs, still bladdy nothing round here in Bundy!! After looking for jobs and Caz spending money on clothes .... AGAIN! We then went back to Jeffs were a friend he hasnt seen in a couple of years came back from england with her partner (they were lesbos .... not the fit kind either) and i was just chatting to them about home. While we were all getting ready as we were going out for Jeffs surprise birthday thing at a restaurant, (Sandy told me earlier it was a surprise), Jeff then got a phone call saying $2000 of stuff has been robbed off him (i knew it was all a joke as it was a surprise for jeff but what made me cautious was the fact that, no one blinked an eye lid when it was a mention of that much value of drugs, i want out of here now, but gotta go for a free meal first) So we went for a free meal where we met everyone we met over the weekend, after a few drinks and another posh meal it was time to leave ..... Sadee took a slash in a flower pot right by the door which had me in stitches as thats something James would do back home so i was crying my eyes out .... Went back to Sadee's penthouse flat, but Sadee was slightly drunk and drove home so in a 4WD he was chasing down Kangaroos and just driving right through the bush, Sandy tryed to climb into the front passenger seat and while he was doing that Sadee put on the brakes and Sandys head smashed right into the windscreen and cracked it, Caz was screaming the whole way through, so when we got back to Sadee's (ALIVE thankfully) we drank some more with everyone, was pretty shit as most of it was them saying how 'bad' they were, im thinking there more talk than anything, that night Jeff said he tryed getting us to stay at a friends for 9 days while he has family down but his friend had no room so he booked us in to a tent site .... i was well chuffed i want to go already! So at about 0500hrs it was called a night.
Tuesday 7th July
Everyone was hanging ... but not me as i didnt want to get wasted in an area i dont know, went for something to eat and then went back to Jeff's were as usual Caz sleeps the whole day when shes hanging! Jeff and Sadee went for a drive as they needed to get some food when his family arrive here tomorrow, i just sat watching damn T.V all day long, just loads of crap on. Then i got a txt ... Keenan, Mike, Chris, Lindsay and Natalie are in Bundaberg central, stopping off on there way down the east coast, so i got a lift of Sandy, Caroline didnt want to come as she was still hanging! So i met all them guys and just filled them in on my adventures so far with soooo little money and was told about the east coast which sounds like sooooo much fun!! They also met Marissa, shes a girl who i was really good friends with back in senior school and shes here in Australia so its a well small world after all!! After having a few drinks and plenty of laughs catching up with them and hearing some very funny stories, was very emotional as they all are amazed about how long i have lasted with practically no cash, i was feeling shit all week until i met them as everything just seemed to be going wrong, they were even mentioning how im always so happy and cherpy and i love it when people say that as so far i've had little tantrums but i've kept a strong head and pushed through as i know if i keep trying things will work out for me soon, im so close to seeing Ayres rock, everything down the east coast including barrier reef, seeing new years on Sydney harbour bridge and more. Im here and if i go home now i will regret it for the rest of my life and may never have the chance of coming back. So after a few drinks and a chat i went and crashed at there hostel (another free night on my list :D)
Wednesday 8th July
The 'East Coast 5' (they named themselfs that), are leaving at 1000hrs today to carry on down, but its 0700hrs and Caroline has been dropped off at the camp site and needs the key to get into are shitty little tea-pee tent, im like 45mins over town, so with my ever growing hair being in a mess in the morning (as the boys call it back home 'rooster hair') i walked back to the caravan site, i stayed up for a bit and chatted to Caz but i was shattered so i fell asleep until about 1300hrs. When i woke up, i rang loads of farms to see if they had any work .... NO LUCK! So we went on an adventure into CBD (Central Buisness District .... City Centre basically) of Bundy to get some food and have a look around for some sort of work around here .... nothing. So we went back to the tent and chilled out, i was talking to Caz about the Illuminate as shes never heard of them, so we were up for hours talking about loads of random paranormal stuff, which was well fun! I then tryed going to sleep ...... Caz has a sleeping bag and i havent as i cant afford one, o lord help me its so cold, im actually wearing every item of clothing in my backpack to keep me warm, so i had a really bad sleep.
Thursday 9th July
Made Caz get up like an hour earlier than me as she takes sooooo damn long to get ready its unbelievable!! As some people know i get really frustrated when we have a long day and someone takes agessss to get ready, especially as we need a damn job! Spoke to Jordan whos in Sydney at the moment, choping and changing between jobs and is getting an apartment with some mates soon (lucky twat), and spoke to Daryl whos been having a real tough time as hes on his tourist Visa (means he can only stay for 3months and cannot work) so after pursuading him back in Cairns to get a damn Working holiday visa he flys out to New Zealand to apply for it as you have to leave the country, so thats the last bit of his money gone! To top it off one of his best mates from back home passed away so he was really down about that so i stayed chatting to him for a while trying to make sure he just doesnt get drunk and that by himself, wish i was there so i could help him out! So after looking for jobs and me going to the Library looking for the book Demon and Angels as i well want to read it now after last nights discussions. Me and Caz were pretty stressed out now considering there is no work and its stupid .... we went and got some goon and drank most of it and decided once we were drunk to go out, we went to Queenslander and then tryed getting into a proper amazing club which has the mirror urinals in but as Caz lost her I.D back in Sydney we couldnt get in but no worries we went back to Queenslander were in about 20mins some wierd guys came up to us and were being extremly vulgar about women and trying to act hard and that, so i almost got into a fight and one of them was grilling Caz on where we are staying so we decided to get out of there quick! Took us about 20mins to walk back and we were constantly looking behind our shoulders just incase they were following and they wernt so as soon as we got back we just crashed out asleep, the alcohol actually helped me sleep alot more tonight too so i was greatfull for that!!
Friday 10th July
Caz didnt get up till late afternoon so i went for a little adventure around the area just checking things out and seeing if theres anything nice about Brissy .... nope ..... no jobs .... nothing to see really .... this is actually hell in Australia .... When Caz got up we went on a journey to try and find a job centre, we found one called Grunt, they employ people for Agriculture and Construction work ... GREAT! So we went in there, im all happy as i can actually work, get payed and get my 2nd year visa ..... NO JOBS!! Well screw you then, great i want to leave i want to go to Brisbane so badly now, as its apparently the best place to work, plus my mums fella's daughter is there who i get along with so i want to go see her as i get to see something of home then! I just want to see so many people from home as i miss seeing faces and just having fun with everyone from back home, dont realise how much you really have until your away from it all, not that i never appreciated any of my friends or family as i love them all to pieces but i just appreciate them so much more and makes me think how friends and family really made my life so much easier, but this is why im out here to become more independant and hopefully re-pay though's favours some day! We also went to the doctors today as Caz was complaining about her head hurting and that its scabbing up, i was just telling her to stop being a sissy and its prob just bed bugs ..... nope she has had an allergic reaction to the hair dye she brought at the beginning of the week .... whoopppps, pretty lucky im not in medicine really!! Later on we went to an internet cafe today too as i wanted to message people and also find out the situation with Carl and Emma's baby ... i want to know wether i will be having a Niece or a Nephew ..... So i checked it out I HAVE A NIECE!!! Woooooo, im so happy for them ..... because the lil one is going to have King Rob in her life, haha jokes. Shame im going to miss like 4 months out of her life, but im getting updated on scans .... im not sure wether she has emma's or Carls eyes! lol. So being my typical nosey self i looked around the cafe and saw that directly behind me there is like a kid no older than 15 .... looking at some porn, i was in stitches, Caz was disgusted but i wanted to high five him for the guts of doing that in an internet cafe, lol. After staying here till about 2200hrs we then went back to the tea-pea and went to sleep ...... well i couldnt sleep as it was sooo cold, so just layed there doing so so so so so many suduku puzzles, until i heard some freaky noise outside the tent which scared the crap out of me .... it actually sounded like that kid of the grudge, doing some long croaking noise, it definatly wasnt a frog, i thought i was a possum but no possum makes that sort of noise, so i thought Caz would like to hear it, so i woke her up ..... bad idea, she was shaking and freaking out so badly .... we then clocked on why it was outside, we have food in the tent and its trying to get in, Caz starts freaking out, shaking and practically crying as she thinks its in the tent so i grabbed my hair spray to beat the crap out of what ever it is if it comes flying at me!! So i turned on the light and couldnt find it, about 10mins later the noise stopped and we went to sleep.
Saturday 11th July
Got up and got ready at about 1200hrs to sort out where we are going to stay from monday morning as our time here at this lovely tea-pea is at an end ...... YES!! I can actually get into a nice bed again!!! So we went looking at options while looking around for some work, nothing still, but im not giving up hope, im going to carry on and keep my head up as something is bound to turn up soon! After not finding anything and spending the whole day looking for work we found nothing, so we decided to call it an early night as we wanted to check out the beach tomorrow. So another really cold and practically sleepless night for me!!
Sunday 12th July
Got up at about 1000hrs, okay later than what we wanted! Got our beach gear on and decided to go check out this beach, no busses were running so we decided to see how much a taxi would cost $30 .... yeh taxi driver can ummm yeh rob someone else, i wanted to walk there but Caz didnt want to as its about an hour and a half walk, but i was well up for it. So we then decided to walk back to our campsite but along the sort of scenic route .... the river, then we came across a miny little public zoo which is free, walked around there and there was loads of diffrent types of birds, such as your normal Cockatills, Love birds and that, we saw a couple of Emu's (the bird which is well dangerous in the wild and have been known to kill!), an Ostrich and a couple of joey's. Saw got plenty of pictures from today as i havnt had the chance to take many pictures at the moment, we went and got something to eat and then went on the internet for a bit and called it a night ...
So after not being fired yesterday we got up to get the bus at 0500hrs today .... we are on the stand by list still and the bus driver wouldnt let us get on the list!! We are fired for sure! What is going on! So we stayed up freaking out waiting for the office to open so we can talk to them, 0830hrs and its open, the women was nasty as anything proper bitch! Was really rude and said she wouldnt give us any contact numbers for Joe and was just being rude so we had nothing left to do but wait until the others came back.1300hrs They all cambe back from work and i asked for Joes number of Rob, apparently Joe still wants us to work ... WHAT A LEGEND! So i rang Joe and he told me to tell the office to put us on the list any probs ring him back ... So went to the office to speak to the demon bitch and she started shouting at me saying i told you not to ring him, i was like, what the fuck no you didnt you crazy bitch (didnt really say that but soooo wanted to) then she started shouting at me saying 2 people will have to be fired now as theres no more room on the farm ... like she knows anything, so shes trying to make me feel bad and shes just being pathetic so i rang up joe and he then rang the office and we were put on the list .... the people who worked there were now just complete wankers to us and were really rude to me and Caroline, hateing this hostel with a passion NOW!! So just chilled the rest of the day and got my daily bottle of Mountain Dew (This stuff is amazing im actually addicted to this drink, no wonder its banned back home, im buzzing!!) Made some food then went to bed for work the next day.
Tuesday 30th June
Work was much easier today but thats because we were only picking the red capsicums, so really didnt make much money, was sooo cold in the morning though, made a fire to keep us warm before we started work, then as soon as the sun comes out my nuts were roasting, such hard work, wish i had my camera to take some pictures of the farm! So we finished at about 1300hrs and went home for a wash, some food and to jsut chill out. 1930hrs the rota was up and me and Caroline had no work tomorrow .... WHAT!!! Rich told us that as theres so many people on the farm Me and Cazza will only be doing 3 days work a week, had to pick 100 buckets a day to break even with food and rent, wont even have a penny to go out or anything to save for my east coast adventure, considering going back to Brisbane now for some work, plus my Step sister is over there so i can see some family. Chilled out for a bit then went to a pub called the Queenslander with Cazza and Neena, had a few drinks and met some Aussie rugby players from Townsville (Way up north near Cairns) who were down for a rugby match on Friday, they were hammered and they were just buying me crap loads of drinks, was a good laugh!
Wednesday 1st July
So got up at about 1000hrs and we went to an internet cafe $5 an hour it costs!! Pricey as anything, got a few numbers or Gumtree so went and got some fish and chips, go to the park and ring some numbers, i also made Caroline try some squid as its so nice but shes too damn fussy and didnt like it. I rang a few places (Carolines a wimp and her accent is a bit strong so i thought i would put my silver tongue to use), rang about 4 places, all just employeed people, then i rang another, told this guy some right bullshit about how me and Cazza are great sales people and how i've done door to door sales before, so we have an interview on Monday in Brisbane! SAWEEEET! But Cazza was still not convinced and wasnt too sure what to do so we went back to the hostel and chilled out, watched Seven (amazing film), had food and saw the rota that everyone had a day off tomorrow, this is stupid now, if it happens again im definatly going!!
Thursday 2nd July
So got up today and as everyone had the day off we all just chilled watching films, payed for another 2nights too as we needed a solid plan on what to do, watched outlaw which is great! But still no damn Transformers!!! :( :( :( :( !!! So after just watching random stuff on T.V all day we went to the Queenslander again for $5 jugs!! It was Neena's birthday tomorrow so we decided to go out tonight. I also got two new names a korean name = Toesu (Which means i study hard, haaha i know!), a Norweigen name = Hardog and a Japanese name = Hiroshi. So after that we went to the best club in Bundy (the one of two clubs here) called Central, got wasted here and they had the best toilets ever!! I mean they were great!! When i was outside i met some Irish dudes who brought me some drinks (do not remember there names at all) and they showed me this massive mirror outside all excited (i just thought they hadnt seen a mirror that big in there life or something) Then they said look at the otherside so i went round and saw the door to the mens toilets so i went in and the urinal is on the otherside of the mirror and you can see everyone but they cant see in!! I was having so much fun pissing on peoples faces but one guy wasnt impressed as the spray back got him, but i was drunk and cracking up and he just laughed it off. So i was wasted and decided to go home as i was too drunk.
Friday 3rd July
0900hrs bout 6 people from the hostel came back (including Caroline) They went back to some random rich guys house and had loads of his alcohol! I MISSED OUT ON FREE BOOZE! So as yet again we had no work that day we just lounged around, Caz was asleep as she had hardly any sleep from partying all night so i went downstairs and chilled out, watching some films on the bed bug infested chairs (lovely i know!), after watching all the films went back upstairs to get Caz up as shes been asleep for wayyyy to long now its like 1500hrs!! When i woke her up she filled me in on last nights mis-haps, this guy offered me and Caroline a room and said he would get us work and we wouldnt have a penny! So i was weighing up my options .... go to Brisbane and do commission work or go to this guys house ..... yupp this guys house as he sounded minted!! So Caz txted him and he got back later on that evening and said he would come pick us up from the hostel tomorrow, SWEET! So chilled out that night watching some films and went to sleep.
Saturday 4th
Woke up at 0800hrs to get everything packed into our bags so we can check out of this shit hole, waited outside for about 10mins and there was this guy who said we can stay at his, he was hench, blatintly a body builder and so was his mate so we got in the 4x4 and went for a quick drive as they needed to sort some stuff out (blatintly proper dodgy shit going on), so i was now shitting myself as i didnt know these people, bout 1300hrs we went for a meal at this Cafe right in the bush called Zest, was very very posh and expensive .... they payed for it, first proper meal in a while, was great! Then we went for a 4 wheel drive along the beach, was mad! I was loving it going at like 90kmph across the beach! Later on that night we went to a bar (like the only one in this remote area), the area we were in was called Moore Park Valley and the bar was great, everyone knew everyone in this tiny place, i met some more people here who were friends of Jeff's (guys house were staying at), so we've met, Sadee, Sammy, Mary-Anne, Benji, Tim and a few others whos names i forgot :P. After being brought loads of alcohol and another meal (with the money they had they were definatly doing some dodgy shit), we then went back to Jeff's house with everyone had went through a drive through alcohol shop (yeh i know just like McDonalds but better!!) and went and drank more back at his where his house was huge and he had two staffi puppies who were tiny and little wimps for staffi's, as i've been on about Transformers so much to Caz she mentioned about it and everyone was saying it was amazing so i was angry when they almost ruined it for me as i still havnt seen the damn film!! Then Jeff came out and gave me a Transformers top which he has but never wore so i happily accepted it!! lol. After thrashing everyone at pool it was like 0400hrs so i decided to call it a night.
Sunday 5th July
Woke up at about 1100hrs, everyone was going to the bar in Moore Park again as it was 'Familly Day' there, so me and Caz were invited along but Caz was hanging as shes ONE BIG LIGHT WEIGHT! So i went by myself and met some more people (i have met so many damn people here in Australia its well hard to remember all the names!) They had loads of activities and that going on so i joined in on the egg and spoon race and won .... i won $30 bar tab so i went straight to the bar and brought crap loads of shots! BARGAIN! At about 1800hrs Jeff went back with Tim to go collect Caz so she then came out but wasnt drinking as she was hanging still (wouldnt be able to handle Southampton then), we then went to Zests again for a very posh dinner again, which was amazing!! Then went back home and watched a film and called it a night.
Been in Australia for 6 weeks!!! Already beaten most of the bets of how long i will last ... GET IN THERE AND STILL LOVING IT HERE!!

Shame im going to miss like 4 months out of her life, but im getting updated on scans .... im not sure wether she has emma's or Carls eyes! lol. So being my typical nosey self i looked around the cafe and saw that directly behind me there is like a kid no older than 15 .... looking at some porn, i was in stitches, Caz was disgusted but i wanted to high five him for the guts of doing that in an internet cafe, lol. After staying here till about 2200hrs we then went back to the tea-pea and went to sleep ...... well i couldnt sleep as it was sooo cold, so just layed there doing so so so so so many suduku puzzles, until i heard some freaky noise outside the tent which scared the crap out of me .... it actually sounded like that kid of the grudge, doing some long croaking noise, it definatly wasnt a frog, i thought i was a possum but no possum makes that sort of noise, so i thought Caz would like to hear it, so i woke her up ..... bad idea, she was shaking and freaking out so badly .... we then clocked on why it was outside, we have food in the tent and its trying to get in, Caz starts freaking out, shaking and practically crying as she thinks its in the tent so i grabbed my hair spray to beat the crap out of what ever it is if it comes flying at me!! So i turned on the light and couldnt find it, about 10mins later the noise stopped and we went to sleep.
Saturday 11th July
Got up and got ready at about 1200hrs to sort out where we are going to stay from monday morning as our time here at this lovely tea-pea is at an end ...... YES!! I can actually get into a nice bed again!!! So we went looking at options while looking around for some work, nothing still, but im not giving up hope, im going to carry on and keep my head up as something is bound to turn up soon! After not finding anything and spending the whole day looking for work we found nothing, so we decided to call it an early night as we wanted to check out the beach tomorrow. So another really cold and practically sleepless night for me!!
Sunday 12th July
Got up at about 1000hrs, okay later than what we wanted! Got our beach gear on and decided to go check out this beach, no busses were running so we decided to see how much a taxi would cost $30 .... yeh taxi driver can ummm yeh rob someone else, i wanted to walk there but Caz didnt want to as its about an hour and a half walk, but i was well up for it. So we then decided to walk back to our campsite but along the sort of scenic route .... the river, then we came across a miny little public zoo which is free, walked around there and there was loads of diffrent types of birds, such as your normal Cockatills, Love birds and that, we saw a couple of Emu's (the bird which is well dangerous in the wild and have been known to kill!), an Ostrich and a couple of joey's. Saw got plenty of pictures from today as i havnt had the chance to take many pictures at the moment, we went and got something to eat and then went on the internet for a bit and called it a night ...

Sunday 7th June
Well we where supposed to do some drinking games today but we decided not to as most of us where tired and hungover (not me as its the 'Southener' in me apparently). So that night i stayed up till 0200hrs with Caroline watching a few films, so nothing interesting.
Mon 8th June
After having a little lay in me, Brogan, Caroline, Craig, Duncan and Kelly decided to go the beach as it was a well hot day and the skies were well clear and blue. The waves were huge again today, but by far the biggest i have ever seen!! The waves were twice the size of me and sometimes bigger, so as i do i went down to swim and do some body surfing, was well fun but there were so many rip curls under the water after a wave i was spun about loads so was quite dangerous. When i got out and back to the others on the beach they all decided to bury me .... they dug a massive hole and i was kneeling in it, so when it was time to get out of it i couldnt for ages!! Later on this evening we all chipped in 5 bucks each and had a barbie on the beach as it was a nice evening and me and Brog were leaving tomorrow. Had some goon, a few beers and loads of laughs! I was supposed to have a soba night tonight as i had to get up at like 0500hrs for the taxi to take us to the airport but i kinda got smashed (no surprise i know) and i was hugging everyone goodbye ... never thought so many goodbyes would be said in such short time! So after a very crazy and fun night i called it a night at 0300hrs.
Tuesday 9th June
0505hrs ..... FUCK!!! I woke up and ran outside ... i couldn't see the taxi nor could i see Brogan ... i grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs .... still drunk .... there i saw Brogan who was shitting it as she thought we both missed it as she woke up late too! Then in a couple of mins the taxi arrived .... but i couldnt find my wallet on me!! TYPICAL!! So i ran back to surfside hostel and was hunting down for it everywhere! Couldnt find it so i thought i would get on the taxi otherwise we would both miss the flight, i was shitting it as it had my last bit of money and all my cards and I.D. While i was in the taxi freaking out i clicked that i could have packed it in my bag while drunk that night so i looked ..... and i did!! When me and Brogan arrived at the airport we were waiting for her brother Jordan, Liesya, Fi, Daryl and Craig ... Brogan was cracking up as i was still drunk, but worrying as the others hadnt arrived yet .... 20mins have gone by and still no sign of the others, we have to check-in, in 20mins!! 5 mins went by and they walked through the door, so Brogan and the others grabbed there stuff to line up whil me and Jordan went for a slash, when we came back out to join them in the que they were already at Check-in! So Jordan went to go meet them but some angry Aussie guy wouldn't let him through as we were kinda pushing in, but we all had to check-in together and we didnt have the time ..... so the hero of this story was a drunken guy called Rob and he pushed his way through, and the Aussie shouted something but the hero made his way foward just in time to make the flight, in doing so he saved the world ... anyways .... Once we all got our backpacks put on the flight, we went for something to eat, well i had to have loads of water as i was being very loud in the airport and had to soba up. Finally got on the plan and i passed out on Brogans lap and didn't wake up till the end .... whoops! Nearing to the decent we all woke up, apart from Fi as shes scared of flying and was shitting it the whole way. I opened up the blinds on the plane window and the view was amazing! This is what i imagined of Australia! It was very sunny and even though we were so far up we could see the clear oceans and the rivers connecting to it. The lush green mountains were my favourite by far though! When we got off the plane we felt the 30 degrees hit us straight in the face, it was so HOT .... like me. We then rang the hostel for we were staying at for our free airport pick up, we were staying at Calypso. It took them 1 1/2 hrs to come pick us up which we were not happy about, but the woman driver was fit so i couldnt be angry, haha. So we arrived at Calypso, we checked in and got our rooms. Me, Daryl, Craig and Jordan were in one room while Fi Fi, Liesya and Broang were in another. Calypso was awsome, it was like a tropical resort! So we chilled out here for a couple of hours then made our way to Cairns central to meet the others who arrived here last week out of our Oz Intro week (Lindsay, Keenan, Tom, Chris, Natalie, her fella Mike and Howard). We all wanted to go to the beach as it looked great from the plane ..... but we were not allowed as it is ful of salt water crocodiles! So we went to a man made lagoon which was amazing! So we all spent the day sun bathing and swimming. We then went back to Calypso to get ready as tonight at Gilligans it was 5 drinks for 10 bucks!! Gilligans is a great nightclub and also a party central hostel were for thos who want sleep .... dont go here!! lol. The rooms had en - suites and the beds were King sized single beds which were like double beds almost, but we couldnt stay here until thursday so we were going to book another night at Calypso .... anyways back to the night out ... We all got our 5 drinks cards and walked through the door straight away we saw the bucking bronco and straight away everyone looked at me, it looked well hard as it was all over the place and you can only hold on with one hand .... so i done it of course! Later on after a few pints (yes i know they have pints in this bar!) and a few sambucca's they made the bucking bronco even harder! There was a $150 bar tab to who ever can beat the 34secs record .... everyone in my group was cheering me on to do it but i was shitting it, so i went to the bar for a shot and then went to sign up, as soon as i went up saying i want to do this the guy was constantly saying "are you sure" as soon as i said yes enough times i signed on the line and noticed that as soon as someone got on it they were thrown straight over the barrier .... FUCK! So my name was called and my group couldnt believe i was actually doing it! I lasted 10 seconds of agonising pain on my boys (my family jewels) and i was thrown straight over the front were it then bucked straight into my chest which winded the crap out of me and it also tore a tendant in my arm! Everyone who was staying at Calypso that night left early, so i stayed on with the guys from Gilligans in our group and made my way back later on ... the walk was supposed to be 10mins but as i do i got lost and it took me an hour. When i got back to calypso i realised i left my key in my room so i had to climb over this massive gate drunk .... which i fell off and winded myself again, then got to my room, Craig let me in and i crashed out!
Wednesday 10th June
Woke up feeling battered and bruised all over, but i was not feeling as rough as the others, so we had a full english breaky .... at last my first one here in Aus!! Then went for a little swim in the pool at Calypso and then to the lagoon for a sun bath and more swimming. We then had a little wander round Cairns that day, at about 1730hrs fruit bats fly around in the hundreds at certain points in the city.Later that night at gilligans they were doing an al you can drink for 10 bucks for one hour but everyone was feeling too rough to do it :(. So we had a poker tournament instead with a $10 buy in, i was winning at first but i got drunk, made stupid bets and lost. So i decided to beat everyone at pool and then call it a night.
Thursday 11th June
Woke up in the late morning, had something to eat and then went down to the lagoon for some more sun bathing and swimming, clear blue skies at 35 degrees!!! Still not tanning though and everyone else is! After a lazy day we went and booked into Gilligans were we are sharing a room with an Irish guy called Connor! Who i did not understand as his accent was so strong!Later on that evening .... yes you guessed it, we went out drinking as it was ladies night at the girls all got free champagne for an hour and guys do too if they dressed up as women but none of the girls would lend me and Daryl there clothes as they were afraid we would stretch them!! So that night me and my liver enjoyed some alcohol ... some dancing .... o and i told Brogna i drunkenly loved her ........... which everyone found funny, but i dont remember it at all, lol. So everyone dissapeared and me and Brogan went to go get something to eat and were then heading back to the hostel to chill out, as soon as we got back i noticed there was a girl in connors bed ..... yes he got lucky! haha. They didnt stop though when me and Brogan came in the room, nor did they stop when the rest came in! Me and Jordan were in stitches, then she took her bra off and was baring all! In my drunken laughing state i wanted to go up there and high five him, but no one would let me and then i passed out within 5mins anyways.
Friday 12th June
I've been payed from home!! YAY! Everyone went sunbathing but i couldnt be bothered, so me and Liesya went around the town for a wander and i made my own milkshake .... strawberry and Mango! Was lush, definatly my highlight of the day!! We were then deciding to get campervans and drive down the east coast, i was going to drive too! But that pan went out the window pretty quick. Later that night i decided to have a quite one in with Brogan, Jordan and Liesya. I fell asleep pretty early and then got rudely awoken by Darly and Fi having ago at me saying they thought i was a party animal and then jumped in my bed singing and telling me they loved me.
Saturday 13th June
Woke up early as people me and Brogan met from surfside were arriving in Cairns today (Leigh, Caroline, Mikey, Mark, Kate, Sarah, Megan, Jo, Faye, Heather, Bonnie, Amba, Michelle, Ashley and a couple of guys who i can never remember the names of). Both groups didnt merge as well though so me and Brogan were socialising between the both. We all went out that night as it was 2 - 4 - 1 drinks for a couple of hours! So there was a huge group of people who i knew! Plus i met some very nice Aboriginie people and as Connor became part of our group he came out with us, was a good laugh and had plenty of dances with girls ;). So we made our way back home and as Caroline is a piss head like the rest of us she stayed in our room...
Sunday 14th June
Didnt get up till about 1200hrs. Caroline and Liesya were the only ones in the room so just chilled out in the hostel for a bit and then Brogan came back and dropped a bomb shell on me ... As there is no work here in Cairns here and her brother Jordan have decided to move to Brisbain ... well it was Jordans rash thinking but Brogan went with it, they've decided to leave on Tuesday. So me and Brog spent the day together chilling out and chatting by the pool at Gilligans. While chatting to Brogan and Caroline i decided to do my 3months Agriculture work to be able to work in Australia for a second year, so i was looking around Cairns for any farms but this year has been a really bad harvest apparently and there has been more back packers here this year. After spending a long time looking around i found a place 4 hours north of Brisbane (Brisbane is over 3000 miles south of Cairns). So let alone have Lindsay, Keenan, Tom and Chris left to do the east coast Brog and Jord were leaving too.
Monday 15th June
Got up early today as i wanted to find a job in Cairns as i liked this place as it was a pure party place 24/7. So i spent the day walking around town all day looking for work. I only found numbers mining jobs in darwin, which is further east of Cairns. It is in the state called the "northern Territory", that is were most of the Aboriginies and Crocs live, even though there are tons here in Cairns too, you have to be carefull though as alot of them hate the backpackers. The other group who arrived on Saturday were renting out a boat today to go down the river to see the views and hopefully some crocs, so i was straight in there for that plan! I also got to drive the boat which was awsome and i was the one who was also driving it back to harbor ... yes i was driving and i almost crashed it in the wall but only because the reverse didn't work! Everyone had to jump to the front of the boat to push it away from the wall while i had some Aussie wanker shouting at me to put it in reverse .... so i was getting stressed and was shouting back saying its broke, when we finally docked he blamed us for breaking it! He didnt show us how to put it in reverse, so we thought he knew already that it was broke and tryed ripping us off, wasn't going to happen at all! So we got our $100 and made are way back to the hostel.Later on that night we all got ready to go out as it was Brogans and Jordans last night here, they all went to the steakhouse for some steak, i didnt go as i really did need to save my money (i know, i turned down steak!!) Cost them like $50 each tho! So me and Caroline chilled in my room, drinking goon to make it a cheaper night and then we went to meet them at a very posh bar called "the pier", it had fountains in the middle of the tabel and had little streams running everywhere around the place, and you had to cross over the bridges to get to the bar .... i would get soaked if i came here drunk. So Brogan went a bit later on and it was yet again anthor good bye, but it was wierd as for the last 3 weeks me and brogan have spent like every day with each other, but in 3months time were doing the east coast :D. So the rest went out to go clubbing but me and Caroline were a little behind as the damn girl was wearing heels!! We both thought they were all going to Gilligans but as soon as we got there, they were at another bar called the heritage. So me and Caroline decided to stay at Gilligans were we drank loads of Jagerbombs (a shot of jager in a glass of red bull, for thos who didn't know .... mum), me and caroline went back to our room very drunk and then fell asleep.
Tuesday 16th June
Woke up and both Brogan and Jordan have gone :(. But instead woke up at like 9 to see Daryl drinking goon! I couldnt even smell the stuff after last night, so he was drunk by about 1000hrs! I then went into town looking for more jobs as things were getting drastic now .... still no damn luck!! We then had to leave our hostel for that day ... and our irish friend Connor to head to a diffrent hostel called Kaoala's which was like a mix between, Calypso and Gilligans. Most of us had a nap during the day and some people decided to go out but i stayed in and had a long convo with Brogan, here and Jordan have already got jobs!!
Wednesday 17th June
Woke up early again to do some more job hunting .... you guessed it, no luck again!! So now i am sharing a room with Daryl, FI FI, Craig and Liesya ... i've checked my balance and i have $80 left!! Fuck, not even enough for a bus down to Brisbain!! So Daryl and Fi said they would stay with me and we will camp our way down, but i told them not to, and to get down there now as i would meet them down there. Craig and Daryl went out to drink that night while i stayed in with Liesya and Fi, we decided to call each others mates from back home and pretend we were a random person they met in a club last week and slept with, Shaun was the only one who answered and his gf Lucy was next to him while Liesya was pretending to be this girl so i was cracking up even more. After learning alot more about each other, Craig came back and then him and Liesya went out to get food, when they arrived both of them said they were catching a plane to Brisbain on Friday! I also decided to stay in as my liver was really hurting by now ... im going to get a ton of "told ya so's" now, haha.
Thursday 18th June
Woke up in the early afternoon and Liesya and Craig have booked there flights for tomorrow and Fi Fi and Darly booked theres for tuesday next week, so after paying people back for shopping and paying my deposit for kaoala's i had $20 left over, so i decided to look for a sleeping bag and a machette and hitch hike my way down the coast, were i would hunt for my food and have a dingo as my best friend ... yes i had it all planned out.That night i decided to go to the Casino and win some money .... i won $80 so i decided to put $20 down on blackjack ... well i thought it was blackjack ... min of $30 so i went for it ... dealt 5 cards ... WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!! As i looked so confused as to what was going on, the guy looked at me and asked me if i knew how to play the game ... nope not a clue!! So he taught me ... it was some shitty version of poker which made me just lose $30!! I then got angry and put $20 in on roulette, i remember Craig telling me to cover 0 and my mate Shaun back home always says it so i was shitting a brick ..... so i turned around and Fi was looking all i heard her say was "O-NO" (Which is the most annoying phrase ever!!) ... it landed on 0, fucker!! So i got annoyed and bet my last 30 bucks and lost it .... so now i am actually skint with not even a cent to my name!!. So i went back to the hostel and stuck to my water diet while Fi and Darryl were out clubbing as usual, they were texting me constantly trying to get me out but i wasnt going to budge as i needed a solution ... going back to England was definatly not one of them!! Later that night i got a phone call ... it was Caroline, she wanted to pay for my flight as we were suppsed to be sticking together! I wouldnt accept, i couldnt as it wasnt fair, but she wasnt giving up so i went down there and we were chatting about it for ages and i really didn't want to but when irish people get angry they are scary!! haha
Friday 19th June
Craig and Liesya have left and i am still broke ... so went looking for a solution and you wouldnt believe it .... i found nothing. Went to go see the other lot who arrived last week and there all leaving on Wednesday to go south to look for some work. Caroline was asleep as she met up with some irish brids travelling Australia so they were drinking till like 0700hrs (i know i missed out on some more girls!!) Later on that day i met up with Fi and Daryl and we saw Connor from gilligans, he was supposed to be leaving for work today as he was driving 24hrs south, but his friends went to Cape Tribulation (a jungle area north of Cairns were you can have a jungle tour, sleep out in huts on the beach, horse riding, snorkelling etc.) and they had the car keys and he had no where to stay, so we had two free beds in our room so we snuck him in which was great as he cracks me up!! Especially when hes been drinking and when he falls asleep he sleep talks in Irish! !?!
Sat 20th June
Me and Daryl woke up and went to gilligans to check the post as he has been waiting for his Aussie bank card for quite a while and hes been using his english card. Daryl was only going to be spending 2months here in Aus but i pursuaded him to get a working visa so he can stay here for a year and work as we both know its just going to be me and him travelling together until we meet up with Brogan. I went over to see the other OzIntro lot as they were leaving gilligans and going to stay at a place called global backpackers ... the rooms were like prison cells, they were horrible! But i wasnt staying there so i wasnt bothered, haha.Later on that night me, Daryl, Fi-Fi and Caroline brougth some goon and brought it back to the hostel and i taught them a drinkign game called "pyramid" (Yes Harry i know ya taught me that back home!! lol), so after getting hammered Fi and Daryl went out clubbing and me and Caroline stayed in chatting and she rang home and i spoke to some of her mates who said i sounded hot .... if i sound it wait till they see me ... enough of being serious ... haha. So it clocked on to about 0130hrs. Fi and Daryl came back slaughtered and Fi passed out in the toilet so i had to pick her up and put her to bed. As it was late Caroline decided to stay at ours, then connor came back as he was leaving at 0700hrs that morning to do his 24hr drive south!
Sun 21st June
0700hrs we all got up to say goodbye to Connor. We all then went back to sleep and got up at about 1300hrs. Daryl and Fi went to the lagoon while me and Caroline just chilled out back at the hostel and i made us some lunch ... soup of a can baby! See im becoming quite the gourmet chef since i've been here! The rest of the day was just a chilling out one with me screaming at Mario on the DS for being a stupid twat for dying like and idiot. Then Caroline went home and me, Daryl and Fi just chilled and had an early night.
Monday 22nd June
Woke up at 0800hrs to go meet Caroline as we needed to go to her bank and sort some other stuff out, once all of this was sorted we went to book our flights to Brisbane!! O and i found out then that Caroline hates flying!! So once we got it all booked we then went to grab her 5 bags (yes i know tell me about it) from the other hostel and we brougth it to Kaolas were me, Daryl and Fi where are staying. That night, the same as every night for the past week we went to grab our free meals, little tiny bowls of normally beef stew and then i always went next door to blag some free spaghetti. After that we went and got some goon and had a few drinks ... me and Daryl got a bit drunk ... Fi and Caroline went to bed early as we had flights in the morning and had to get up at 0330hrs ... boring i know!! Then Daryl went to sleep! So i hear Howard (dude in my OzIntro week whos staying in Cairns), so he was down stairs with some irish birds so i was checking that out straight away!! But as soon as i got down there i had a a very drunk bird trying to kiss me constantly and she had a cold sore so i didnt want any disease's and the her big ginger friend was stroking my leg and she scared me!! Then the other one was fit as but she was plastered so i just drank quite a bit of there drink and decided to head back upstairs to sleep, was like 0200hrs when i got back up there.
Tuesday 23rd June
0300hrs, Fi and Caroline woke up and tryed to wake up me and Daryl, they tryed waking us up gently but as soon as we didnt get up for like the second time we had two very angry birds yelling at us, so me and Daryl got up half dead and couldnt be bothered with the damn flight. We then got in the taxi at 0400hrs and arrived at the airport pretty quick. We were told the night before that if we were drunk we wernt allowed on the flight, but i've done this before when i left London and Sydney .... so going through security and i was the last one through so everyone went and sat down ... then a woman called me over and was holding up a piece of paper with soem writing on it ... i couldnt eve read the writing while she was chatting something to me, i thought i was busted .. then a big guy came and stood next to me and i thought i was in trouble now ... then she said she was just going to do a random search for any explosives on me!! So i was relieved and laughing as out of like the 100 people who went through i must have seemed like the most suspicious person and most likely one carrying explosives!! haha Our flight was delayed by an hour due to strong weather conditions and as fi and Caroline are shit scared of flying this didnt help there nerves. As soon as it was time to board the plane Caroline started to shake like crazy, but as the gentleman i am i was reassuring her that it would be alright (not that if the plane did start to plummet to the ground i could do anything about it) but it didnt make a diffrence as she was still shaking. Me and Caroline were sat at the back of the plane while Daryl and Fi were at the front. Take-off, Caroline was shittign it so much she was squeezing my hand so hard that she was going to break my fingers!! The turbulance had to be the worst part for her but the most adrenaline rushing fun for me!! Then i fell asleep and she was awake the whole way .. whooooops!! When we landed we walked straight straight down the steps onto the tarmac, when i looked at the plane it was tiny!! No wonder we felt so much turbulance! We then met up with Fi and Daryl then caught the train to find the others. We met up with Liesya and Jordan as soon as we got off the train and they took us back to a hostel called tin billys, were Fi, Daryl and Caroline checked in to stay the night into the same room as the others ... yes i know i didnt check in as i had no money and wanted to stay for free ... it worked too! haha. During the day the group of us (Brogan, Jordan, Caroline, Liesya, Craig, Daryl, Fi and me) walked around Bisbane centre ... its like a damn mini sydney, but i was only staying here for one night.Later on Jordan and Brogan were supposed to be flying to Sydney as jordan wimped out of his job and spur of the moment booked a flight. Brogan booked one too but i knew she really didnt want to go, then an hour later she had a phone call from this woman offering her a job back up in Cairns which paid well and gave her free accomadation, so she took it and flew up to Cairns. We all then went to sleep pretty early that night as we had to get up well early!!
Wednesday 24th June
Got up at 0800hrs to leave before the cleaners found me in the room without paying! Plus me and Caroline were catching a train 4 1/2 hrs north of Brisbane to do some farm work so we can get our second year working visa here (which you need to be able to get sponsored here and live here) I have a few ideas on what i may want to do after my backpacking year but its still to early to say anything and to think about it. Me and Caroline then left Fi, Daryl, Craig and Liesya at the train station and headed off to Bundberg where we will be staying for 3months (o yeh i forgot to say you need to do 3months agriculture or construction work for your second year visa). While on the train i realised that i really dont want to fly around Australia anymore as the journey was amazing saw so many lakes, Swamps, rivers, mountains, massive hole sin the ground etc. Once we arrived in Bundaberg we were surrounded in churches, i started to freak out as i was imagining a horror movie were if you were not from around ehr then they would sacrifice you ... then i saw a cinema and forgot about that as all what came across my mind was TRANSFORMERS 2!! So as the kid i am i sprinted over the road ... almost getting hit by a car ... I have wanted to see it for ages as everyone back home has seen it and it only came out yesterday in Australia, so i went in to the cinema practically jumping like a kid!! So i went in there VERY VERY VERY excited and asked what times the showings were ................ The women asked "Transformers 2??" .... I was like "Yeh ones with Robots and all that amazing cool stuff .... she went to the board and said it wont be here for another 2weeks ... shitty little outback, hillbilly, incest town (yes it is all that) I HATE THIS PLACE !! Why would this happen to me!! Anyways made our way to the hostel we were staying at, saw it from a distance on the corner looked pretty good, so went in and got ourselfs booked in. A canadian guy called Phil who was really nice was telling us about the farmers here and how they will treat you like shit and just shout at you and insult you loads so you just have to bite your toungue, went up to our room and tryed opening the door but it wouldnt open, thought we had the wrong damn door at first! But after trying for about 5mins a Sweedish girl came along saying that its a really annoying door to open and when she couldnt open it a Norweigen girl came along and she opened it for us, they were our roomies, sharing a 4bed room with 3 girls!! AWSOME!! So with the last $200 left i had i spent 180$ on a hostel for a week (costy i know) so put the last $20 towards food. Started to like Bundaberg alot now as its a much quieter place and its more laid back than the cities. We have to get up by 0400hrs every morning to be put on the 'stand by list', which means if anyone has called in sick then the first person who got up and was waiting first in the room gets the job for the day and if there good enough then the farmer will ask them if they want a full time job, but we were warned about the Koreans (this hostel is full of them) apparently there really sneaky and say they were here before you even if your first!! So its a real cut throat place, so we decided to have something to eat (noodles ... AGAIN) and get an early night.
Thursday 25th June
Got up at about 0230hrs and went down stairs to have a look who was down there and there was 6people already there, Caroline had no clothes she didnt want to get ruined so she stayed in bed and i went back up as i thought there was no chance of getting work. The room was bladdy freezing, i dont know why they put the Air Conditioning on ... AT NIGHT! When its already cold enough at night! IDIOTS! So went back to sleep and got back up at 0830hrs so Caroline can get a tracksuit to work in the fields with ... O DEAR LORD! I forgot how annoying shopping with a girl is .... 3 hours later she actually picked something and spent over $100!! Because the stuff which was cheap she wouldnt be caught dead in ... even though we are working on a farm and going to get extremly dirty! So after that was about 1300hrs and we took a little walk round town to see what its all about ... people shout random crap at you and most of the people look like there on crack! So at about 1500hrs we went to WoolWorths and got some grub. When we got back to the hostel we chilled out for a bit. My Dad rang me to see how i was doing which was pretty cool, also bearing in mind that this is the most my Dad has had in contact with me for years, since i move to Australia hes actually worrying i think but so is everyone else back home as im bombarded with txts reguarly from people even over here in Australia, im not that accident prone am i??!! So after having a convo on the phone with my old man i decided to go make Caroline and me some grub ... here goes a first meal i try and cook really ... Pasta, tuna and sweetcorn .... I actually eat anything but i would never ever eat that pasta again, stupid cheapy 50cents pasta!! IT WAS NOT MY COOKING ... honest!! lol. So at about 2000hrs we decided to call it a night as we were getting up at 0200hrs for standby.2100hrs, its so damn cold and early i cant sleep.2200hrs, still cannot sleep.2300hrs, stilllllllllllllllll cannot sleep, doing some Suduko puzzles now.
Friday 26th June
0030hrs, last time i remember looking at the time before i fell asleep.0200hrs my alarm goes off so me and Caroline get up and go downstairs for 'Stand By', two people down here before us so we stand a good chance of getting a job, but they slept here over night the damn cheats! So 0400hrs rolled by and the bus driver came in with the list and shouted whos first ... Straight away i saw a Korean get up so i ran to the front and told Caroline to say here name after the first two, so she did, then he asked whos next and the Korean put his hand up so i pushed him and shouted me (I need a job more than him, its survival of the fittest here or in my case the bravest). No luck for the 0400hrs as everyones down here and ready so we sat down and watched T.V till 0600hrs, still no luck everyones here and acounted for. 0700hrs - 5 hours later with like one hours sleep, just about to give up as im knackered! Driver came in and asked the first 4 on the list if they wanted to pick Capsicums (red and green peppers) so that was Me, Caroline, Neena and some guy called Ollie who we met here. So off we go to pick some "Capsicums".THE MOST HARDEST WORK I HAVE DONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! It was soooooo hot, and it was very very fast paced but i was keeping up at the front, the buckets we had to fill were like half the size of a wheelie bin back home and we got payed $1 for every full bucket ... pathetic i know!! So after working my ass of the farmer loved me so much and offered me and Caroline a full time job, the farmers name was Joe and he was Mari, he was a legend, well nice, but alwasy kept on shouting "pick the good ones" and smoking weed in his truck, haha. So we finished at about 1230hrs and i picked 100 buckets so i was well chuffed, but filthy, thirsty, needing a smoke and STARVING (I have one huge appetite here in Aus!). So waiting for the bus back to the hostel as we are like 40mins away i turn on my phone and i get bombarded by txts from people saying Michael Jacksons dead, random as, i personally thought he would live for ever, o and a drunken txt of James i did not understand at all! So got back to the hostel and had a wash as i was well dirty from basically commando crawling on the floor picking damn capsicums! I then made us some bacon sarnies, which are my specialty so they were well nice! We just chilled out most of the day and when it came to the evening we watched a film called 'Into The Wild' .... MUM AND NAN PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM AS IT WILL FREAK YOU OUT! Its a film about a dude who goes 'backpacking' around America to do his 'Big Alaskan adventure' based on a true story and really good. So now were on the list its time to get to bed as were up at 0400hrs!
Saturday 27th June
0400hrs and were up and ready for work, well me anyways, for some reason i had loads of energy! Looked at the list and our names were on the stand by list still! WHAT IS GOING ON! So we waited till about 0900hrs and the others came back and said there was no work as it was raining, Rob said Joe wanted us back so we chilled out. Didnt bother going back to bed as i was awake now so we decided to stay up and watch Superbad, seen that film like 3 times since i have been to Australia and still love it! So after that we made some lunch and Rob plus the other 30+ people in the hostel asked if we wanted to go to the park and chip in $2 for some goon, so off we went! Was well good and had a right laugh and everyone was merry from all the goon. A couple of guys then tryed climbing up this tree which had no branches, so as the competitive person that i am i was going to beat them all no matter what, so i won and slid down the tree .... im now covered in damn splinters, there in me everywhere!! So we left the park at about 1700hrs and headed back to the hostel pretty tipsyyyyy! So we were going to a place called the federal which is an Off licence (a drive through one too, i know how cool drive your car through and get some bevvys) and at the back they had a garden where you can drink all your alcohol brought and it was only for backpackers, also had a club inside too, after a couple of hours the place was packed full of backpackers was pretty awsome.
Sunday 28th June
0200hrs i decided to call it a night wasted as i have work in 2hrs!! Walking back drunk some kids decided to shout at me and shit so i just carried on walking, apparently they do it to backpackers and then beat the shit oout of em and rob them so i was moving on pretty quick.1030hrs .......... FUCK!! Supposed to be up for work at 0400hrs!! Freaking out now, soooooo fired!! If fired your then kicked out of the hostel with no refund! Couple of hours later i went downstairs and saw Neena and the others come in and they said Joe was fine with it and understood and said he wanted us back which was awsome! So i went upstairs and told Caroline were being kicked out of the hostel, her face dropped and she started to freaaaaakkkk out!! I couldnt stop laughing so she realised i was only messing. So for the rest of the day i tryed getting the damn splinters of me!! Went and made some food and then went to bed.
So far i've had some real crazy adventures in these past 4 weeks, i am currently at an internet cafe just typing up the other weeks, will hopefully be done in the next couple of days, i assure you it gets very interesting and much more ... well ... dangerous i suppose but there was a phrase i saw which really opened my eyes on one day that i really wanted to go home as i had no hope or faith left here, the phrase was "One day your life will flash before your eyes ... So make sure its worth watching", so i took that as i sign, it was a sign that made me come here, its also something i know i have to do. I am not giving up until 2010, everything i have done in my life i have given up on, never had the will power to see anything through, but this is something im not giving up on so easy, even as hard as it gets and as down as i get, sulking gets you no where out here, theres no family or friends to turn too ... you really are alone out here, but this is my choice and i do not regret a single moment, i miss so many people back home. Its diffrent not seeing faces which i have grown accustomed to over the years, but i wont give to much away as the next chapters will explain....

Well we where supposed to do some drinking games today but we decided not to as most of us where tired and hungover (not me as its the 'Southener' in me apparently). So that night i stayed up till 0200hrs with Caroline watching a few films, so nothing interesting.
Mon 8th June
After having a little lay in me, Brogan, Caroline, Craig, Duncan and Kelly decided to go the beach as it was a well hot day and the skies were well clear and blue. The waves were huge again today, but by far the biggest i have ever seen!! The waves were twice the size of me and sometimes bigger, so as i do i went down to swim and do some body surfing, was well fun but there were so many rip curls under the water after a wave i was spun about loads so was quite dangerous. When i got out and back to the others on the beach they all decided to bury me .... they dug a massive hole and i was kneeling in it, so when it was time to get out of it i couldnt for ages!! Later on this evening we all chipped in 5 bucks each and had a barbie on the beach as it was a nice evening and me and Brog were leaving tomorrow. Had some goon, a few beers and loads of laughs! I was supposed to have a soba night tonight as i had to get up at like 0500hrs for the taxi to take us to the airport but i kinda got smashed (no surprise i know) and i was hugging everyone goodbye ... never thought so many goodbyes would be said in such short time! So after a very crazy and fun night i called it a night at 0300hrs.
Tuesday 9th June
0505hrs ..... FUCK!!! I woke up and ran outside ... i couldn't see the taxi nor could i see Brogan ... i grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs .... still drunk .... there i saw Brogan who was shitting it as she thought we both missed it as she woke up late too! Then in a couple of mins the taxi arrived .... but i couldnt find my wallet on me!! TYPICAL!! So i ran back to surfside hostel and was hunting down for it everywhere! Couldnt find it so i thought i would get on the taxi otherwise we would both miss the flight, i was shitting it as it had my last bit of money and all my cards and I.D. While i was in the taxi freaking out i clicked that i could have packed it in my bag while drunk that night so i looked ..... and i did!! When me and Brogan arrived at the airport we were waiting for her brother Jordan, Liesya, Fi, Daryl and Craig ... Brogan was cracking up as i was still drunk, but worrying as the others hadnt arrived yet .... 20mins have gone by and still no sign of the others, we have to check-in, in 20mins!! 5 mins went by and they walked through the door, so Brogan and the others grabbed there stuff to line up whil me and Jordan went for a slash, when we came back out to join them in the que they were already at Check-in! So Jordan went to go meet them but some angry Aussie guy wouldn't let him through as we were kinda pushing in, but we all had to check-in together and we didnt have the time ..... so the hero of this story was a drunken guy called Rob and he pushed his way through, and the Aussie shouted something but the hero made his way foward just in time to make the flight, in doing so he saved the world ... anyways .... Once we all got our backpacks put on the flight, we went for something to eat, well i had to have loads of water as i was being very loud in the airport and had to soba up. Finally got on the plan and i passed out on Brogans lap and didn't wake up till the end .... whoops! Nearing to the decent we all woke up, apart from Fi as shes scared of flying and was shitting it the whole way. I opened up the blinds on the plane window and the view was amazing! This is what i imagined of Australia! It was very sunny and even though we were so far up we could see the clear oceans and the rivers connecting to it. The lush green mountains were my favourite by far though! When we got off the plane we felt the 30 degrees hit us straight in the face, it was so HOT .... like me. We then rang the hostel for we were staying at for our free airport pick up, we were staying at Calypso. It took them 1 1/2 hrs to come pick us up which we were not happy about, but the woman driver was fit so i couldnt be angry, haha. So we arrived at Calypso, we checked in and got our rooms. Me, Daryl, Craig and Jordan were in one room while Fi Fi, Liesya and Broang were in another. Calypso was awsome, it was like a tropical resort! So we chilled out here for a couple of hours then made our way to Cairns central to meet the others who arrived here last week out of our Oz Intro week (Lindsay, Keenan, Tom, Chris, Natalie, her fella Mike and Howard). We all wanted to go to the beach as it looked great from the plane ..... but we were not allowed as it is ful of salt water crocodiles! So we went to a man made lagoon which was amazing! So we all spent the day sun bathing and swimming. We then went back to Calypso to get ready as tonight at Gilligans it was 5 drinks for 10 bucks!! Gilligans is a great nightclub and also a party central hostel were for thos who want sleep .... dont go here!! lol. The rooms had en - suites and the beds were King sized single beds which were like double beds almost, but we couldnt stay here until thursday so we were going to book another night at Calypso .... anyways back to the night out ... We all got our 5 drinks cards and walked through the door straight away we saw the bucking bronco and straight away everyone looked at me, it looked well hard as it was all over the place and you can only hold on with one hand .... so i done it of course! Later on after a few pints (yes i know they have pints in this bar!) and a few sambucca's they made the bucking bronco even harder! There was a $150 bar tab to who ever can beat the 34secs record .... everyone in my group was cheering me on to do it but i was shitting it, so i went to the bar for a shot and then went to sign up, as soon as i went up saying i want to do this the guy was constantly saying "are you sure" as soon as i said yes enough times i signed on the line and noticed that as soon as someone got on it they were thrown straight over the barrier .... FUCK! So my name was called and my group couldnt believe i was actually doing it! I lasted 10 seconds of agonising pain on my boys (my family jewels) and i was thrown straight over the front were it then bucked straight into my chest which winded the crap out of me and it also tore a tendant in my arm! Everyone who was staying at Calypso that night left early, so i stayed on with the guys from Gilligans in our group and made my way back later on ... the walk was supposed to be 10mins but as i do i got lost and it took me an hour. When i got back to calypso i realised i left my key in my room so i had to climb over this massive gate drunk .... which i fell off and winded myself again, then got to my room, Craig let me in and i crashed out!
Wednesday 10th June
Woke up feeling battered and bruised all over, but i was not feeling as rough as the others, so we had a full english breaky .... at last my first one here in Aus!! Then went for a little swim in the pool at Calypso and then to the lagoon for a sun bath and more swimming. We then had a little wander round Cairns that day, at about 1730hrs fruit bats fly around in the hundreds at certain points in the city.Later that night at gilligans they were doing an al you can drink for 10 bucks for one hour but everyone was feeling too rough to do it :(. So we had a poker tournament instead with a $10 buy in, i was winning at first but i got drunk, made stupid bets and lost. So i decided to beat everyone at pool and then call it a night.
Thursday 11th June
Woke up in the late morning, had something to eat and then went down to the lagoon for some more sun bathing and swimming, clear blue skies at 35 degrees!!! Still not tanning though and everyone else is! After a lazy day we went and booked into Gilligans were we are sharing a room with an Irish guy called Connor! Who i did not understand as his accent was so strong!Later on that evening .... yes you guessed it, we went out drinking as it was ladies night at the girls all got free champagne for an hour and guys do too if they dressed up as women but none of the girls would lend me and Daryl there clothes as they were afraid we would stretch them!! So that night me and my liver enjoyed some alcohol ... some dancing .... o and i told Brogna i drunkenly loved her ........... which everyone found funny, but i dont remember it at all, lol. So everyone dissapeared and me and Brogan went to go get something to eat and were then heading back to the hostel to chill out, as soon as we got back i noticed there was a girl in connors bed ..... yes he got lucky! haha. They didnt stop though when me and Brogan came in the room, nor did they stop when the rest came in! Me and Jordan were in stitches, then she took her bra off and was baring all! In my drunken laughing state i wanted to go up there and high five him, but no one would let me and then i passed out within 5mins anyways.
Friday 12th June
I've been payed from home!! YAY! Everyone went sunbathing but i couldnt be bothered, so me and Liesya went around the town for a wander and i made my own milkshake .... strawberry and Mango! Was lush, definatly my highlight of the day!! We were then deciding to get campervans and drive down the east coast, i was going to drive too! But that pan went out the window pretty quick. Later that night i decided to have a quite one in with Brogan, Jordan and Liesya. I fell asleep pretty early and then got rudely awoken by Darly and Fi having ago at me saying they thought i was a party animal and then jumped in my bed singing and telling me they loved me.
Saturday 13th June
Woke up early as people me and Brogan met from surfside were arriving in Cairns today (Leigh, Caroline, Mikey, Mark, Kate, Sarah, Megan, Jo, Faye, Heather, Bonnie, Amba, Michelle, Ashley and a couple of guys who i can never remember the names of). Both groups didnt merge as well though so me and Brogan were socialising between the both. We all went out that night as it was 2 - 4 - 1 drinks for a couple of hours! So there was a huge group of people who i knew! Plus i met some very nice Aboriginie people and as Connor became part of our group he came out with us, was a good laugh and had plenty of dances with girls ;). So we made our way back home and as Caroline is a piss head like the rest of us she stayed in our room...
Sunday 14th June
Didnt get up till about 1200hrs. Caroline and Liesya were the only ones in the room so just chilled out in the hostel for a bit and then Brogan came back and dropped a bomb shell on me ... As there is no work here in Cairns here and her brother Jordan have decided to move to Brisbain ... well it was Jordans rash thinking but Brogan went with it, they've decided to leave on Tuesday. So me and Brog spent the day together chilling out and chatting by the pool at Gilligans. While chatting to Brogan and Caroline i decided to do my 3months Agriculture work to be able to work in Australia for a second year, so i was looking around Cairns for any farms but this year has been a really bad harvest apparently and there has been more back packers here this year. After spending a long time looking around i found a place 4 hours north of Brisbane (Brisbane is over 3000 miles south of Cairns). So let alone have Lindsay, Keenan, Tom and Chris left to do the east coast Brog and Jord were leaving too.
Monday 15th June
Got up early today as i wanted to find a job in Cairns as i liked this place as it was a pure party place 24/7. So i spent the day walking around town all day looking for work. I only found numbers mining jobs in darwin, which is further east of Cairns. It is in the state called the "northern Territory", that is were most of the Aboriginies and Crocs live, even though there are tons here in Cairns too, you have to be carefull though as alot of them hate the backpackers. The other group who arrived on Saturday were renting out a boat today to go down the river to see the views and hopefully some crocs, so i was straight in there for that plan! I also got to drive the boat which was awsome and i was the one who was also driving it back to harbor ... yes i was driving and i almost crashed it in the wall but only because the reverse didn't work! Everyone had to jump to the front of the boat to push it away from the wall while i had some Aussie wanker shouting at me to put it in reverse .... so i was getting stressed and was shouting back saying its broke, when we finally docked he blamed us for breaking it! He didnt show us how to put it in reverse, so we thought he knew already that it was broke and tryed ripping us off, wasn't going to happen at all! So we got our $100 and made are way back to the hostel.Later on that night we all got ready to go out as it was Brogans and Jordans last night here, they all went to the steakhouse for some steak, i didnt go as i really did need to save my money (i know, i turned down steak!!) Cost them like $50 each tho! So me and Caroline chilled in my room, drinking goon to make it a cheaper night and then we went to meet them at a very posh bar called "the pier", it had fountains in the middle of the tabel and had little streams running everywhere around the place, and you had to cross over the bridges to get to the bar .... i would get soaked if i came here drunk. So Brogan went a bit later on and it was yet again anthor good bye, but it was wierd as for the last 3 weeks me and brogan have spent like every day with each other, but in 3months time were doing the east coast :D. So the rest went out to go clubbing but me and Caroline were a little behind as the damn girl was wearing heels!! We both thought they were all going to Gilligans but as soon as we got there, they were at another bar called the heritage. So me and Caroline decided to stay at Gilligans were we drank loads of Jagerbombs (a shot of jager in a glass of red bull, for thos who didn't know .... mum), me and caroline went back to our room very drunk and then fell asleep.
Tuesday 16th June
Woke up and both Brogan and Jordan have gone :(. But instead woke up at like 9 to see Daryl drinking goon! I couldnt even smell the stuff after last night, so he was drunk by about 1000hrs! I then went into town looking for more jobs as things were getting drastic now .... still no damn luck!! We then had to leave our hostel for that day ... and our irish friend Connor to head to a diffrent hostel called Kaoala's which was like a mix between, Calypso and Gilligans. Most of us had a nap during the day and some people decided to go out but i stayed in and had a long convo with Brogan, here and Jordan have already got jobs!!
Wednesday 17th June
Woke up early again to do some more job hunting .... you guessed it, no luck again!! So now i am sharing a room with Daryl, FI FI, Craig and Liesya ... i've checked my balance and i have $80 left!! Fuck, not even enough for a bus down to Brisbain!! So Daryl and Fi said they would stay with me and we will camp our way down, but i told them not to, and to get down there now as i would meet them down there. Craig and Daryl went out to drink that night while i stayed in with Liesya and Fi, we decided to call each others mates from back home and pretend we were a random person they met in a club last week and slept with, Shaun was the only one who answered and his gf Lucy was next to him while Liesya was pretending to be this girl so i was cracking up even more. After learning alot more about each other, Craig came back and then him and Liesya went out to get food, when they arrived both of them said they were catching a plane to Brisbain on Friday! I also decided to stay in as my liver was really hurting by now ... im going to get a ton of "told ya so's" now, haha.
Thursday 18th June
Woke up in the early afternoon and Liesya and Craig have booked there flights for tomorrow and Fi Fi and Darly booked theres for tuesday next week, so after paying people back for shopping and paying my deposit for kaoala's i had $20 left over, so i decided to look for a sleeping bag and a machette and hitch hike my way down the coast, were i would hunt for my food and have a dingo as my best friend ... yes i had it all planned out.That night i decided to go to the Casino and win some money .... i won $80 so i decided to put $20 down on blackjack ... well i thought it was blackjack ... min of $30 so i went for it ... dealt 5 cards ... WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!! As i looked so confused as to what was going on, the guy looked at me and asked me if i knew how to play the game ... nope not a clue!! So he taught me ... it was some shitty version of poker which made me just lose $30!! I then got angry and put $20 in on roulette, i remember Craig telling me to cover 0 and my mate Shaun back home always says it so i was shitting a brick ..... so i turned around and Fi was looking all i heard her say was "O-NO" (Which is the most annoying phrase ever!!) ... it landed on 0, fucker!! So i got annoyed and bet my last 30 bucks and lost it .... so now i am actually skint with not even a cent to my name!!. So i went back to the hostel and stuck to my water diet while Fi and Darryl were out clubbing as usual, they were texting me constantly trying to get me out but i wasnt going to budge as i needed a solution ... going back to England was definatly not one of them!! Later that night i got a phone call ... it was Caroline, she wanted to pay for my flight as we were suppsed to be sticking together! I wouldnt accept, i couldnt as it wasnt fair, but she wasnt giving up so i went down there and we were chatting about it for ages and i really didn't want to but when irish people get angry they are scary!! haha
Friday 19th June
Craig and Liesya have left and i am still broke ... so went looking for a solution and you wouldnt believe it .... i found nothing. Went to go see the other lot who arrived last week and there all leaving on Wednesday to go south to look for some work. Caroline was asleep as she met up with some irish brids travelling Australia so they were drinking till like 0700hrs (i know i missed out on some more girls!!) Later on that day i met up with Fi and Daryl and we saw Connor from gilligans, he was supposed to be leaving for work today as he was driving 24hrs south, but his friends went to Cape Tribulation (a jungle area north of Cairns were you can have a jungle tour, sleep out in huts on the beach, horse riding, snorkelling etc.) and they had the car keys and he had no where to stay, so we had two free beds in our room so we snuck him in which was great as he cracks me up!! Especially when hes been drinking and when he falls asleep he sleep talks in Irish! !?!
Sat 20th June
Me and Daryl woke up and went to gilligans to check the post as he has been waiting for his Aussie bank card for quite a while and hes been using his english card. Daryl was only going to be spending 2months here in Aus but i pursuaded him to get a working visa so he can stay here for a year and work as we both know its just going to be me and him travelling together until we meet up with Brogan. I went over to see the other OzIntro lot as they were leaving gilligans and going to stay at a place called global backpackers ... the rooms were like prison cells, they were horrible! But i wasnt staying there so i wasnt bothered, haha.Later on that night me, Daryl, Fi-Fi and Caroline brougth some goon and brought it back to the hostel and i taught them a drinkign game called "pyramid" (Yes Harry i know ya taught me that back home!! lol), so after getting hammered Fi and Daryl went out clubbing and me and Caroline stayed in chatting and she rang home and i spoke to some of her mates who said i sounded hot .... if i sound it wait till they see me ... enough of being serious ... haha. So it clocked on to about 0130hrs. Fi and Daryl came back slaughtered and Fi passed out in the toilet so i had to pick her up and put her to bed. As it was late Caroline decided to stay at ours, then connor came back as he was leaving at 0700hrs that morning to do his 24hr drive south!
Sun 21st June
0700hrs we all got up to say goodbye to Connor. We all then went back to sleep and got up at about 1300hrs. Daryl and Fi went to the lagoon while me and Caroline just chilled out back at the hostel and i made us some lunch ... soup of a can baby! See im becoming quite the gourmet chef since i've been here! The rest of the day was just a chilling out one with me screaming at Mario on the DS for being a stupid twat for dying like and idiot. Then Caroline went home and me, Daryl and Fi just chilled and had an early night.
Monday 22nd June
Woke up at 0800hrs to go meet Caroline as we needed to go to her bank and sort some other stuff out, once all of this was sorted we went to book our flights to Brisbane!! O and i found out then that Caroline hates flying!! So once we got it all booked we then went to grab her 5 bags (yes i know tell me about it) from the other hostel and we brougth it to Kaolas were me, Daryl and Fi where are staying. That night, the same as every night for the past week we went to grab our free meals, little tiny bowls of normally beef stew and then i always went next door to blag some free spaghetti. After that we went and got some goon and had a few drinks ... me and Daryl got a bit drunk ... Fi and Caroline went to bed early as we had flights in the morning and had to get up at 0330hrs ... boring i know!! Then Daryl went to sleep! So i hear Howard (dude in my OzIntro week whos staying in Cairns), so he was down stairs with some irish birds so i was checking that out straight away!! But as soon as i got down there i had a a very drunk bird trying to kiss me constantly and she had a cold sore so i didnt want any disease's and the her big ginger friend was stroking my leg and she scared me!! Then the other one was fit as but she was plastered so i just drank quite a bit of there drink and decided to head back upstairs to sleep, was like 0200hrs when i got back up there.
Tuesday 23rd June
0300hrs, Fi and Caroline woke up and tryed to wake up me and Daryl, they tryed waking us up gently but as soon as we didnt get up for like the second time we had two very angry birds yelling at us, so me and Daryl got up half dead and couldnt be bothered with the damn flight. We then got in the taxi at 0400hrs and arrived at the airport pretty quick. We were told the night before that if we were drunk we wernt allowed on the flight, but i've done this before when i left London and Sydney .... so going through security and i was the last one through so everyone went and sat down ... then a woman called me over and was holding up a piece of paper with soem writing on it ... i couldnt eve read the writing while she was chatting something to me, i thought i was busted .. then a big guy came and stood next to me and i thought i was in trouble now ... then she said she was just going to do a random search for any explosives on me!! So i was relieved and laughing as out of like the 100 people who went through i must have seemed like the most suspicious person and most likely one carrying explosives!! haha Our flight was delayed by an hour due to strong weather conditions and as fi and Caroline are shit scared of flying this didnt help there nerves. As soon as it was time to board the plane Caroline started to shake like crazy, but as the gentleman i am i was reassuring her that it would be alright (not that if the plane did start to plummet to the ground i could do anything about it) but it didnt make a diffrence as she was still shaking. Me and Caroline were sat at the back of the plane while Daryl and Fi were at the front. Take-off, Caroline was shittign it so much she was squeezing my hand so hard that she was going to break my fingers!! The turbulance had to be the worst part for her but the most adrenaline rushing fun for me!! Then i fell asleep and she was awake the whole way .. whooooops!! When we landed we walked straight straight down the steps onto the tarmac, when i looked at the plane it was tiny!! No wonder we felt so much turbulance! We then met up with Fi and Daryl then caught the train to find the others. We met up with Liesya and Jordan as soon as we got off the train and they took us back to a hostel called tin billys, were Fi, Daryl and Caroline checked in to stay the night into the same room as the others ... yes i know i didnt check in as i had no money and wanted to stay for free ... it worked too! haha. During the day the group of us (Brogan, Jordan, Caroline, Liesya, Craig, Daryl, Fi and me) walked around Bisbane centre ... its like a damn mini sydney, but i was only staying here for one night.Later on Jordan and Brogan were supposed to be flying to Sydney as jordan wimped out of his job and spur of the moment booked a flight. Brogan booked one too but i knew she really didnt want to go, then an hour later she had a phone call from this woman offering her a job back up in Cairns which paid well and gave her free accomadation, so she took it and flew up to Cairns. We all then went to sleep pretty early that night as we had to get up well early!!
Wednesday 24th June
Got up at 0800hrs to leave before the cleaners found me in the room without paying! Plus me and Caroline were catching a train 4 1/2 hrs north of Brisbane to do some farm work so we can get our second year working visa here (which you need to be able to get sponsored here and live here) I have a few ideas on what i may want to do after my backpacking year but its still to early to say anything and to think about it. Me and Caroline then left Fi, Daryl, Craig and Liesya at the train station and headed off to Bundberg where we will be staying for 3months (o yeh i forgot to say you need to do 3months agriculture or construction work for your second year visa). While on the train i realised that i really dont want to fly around Australia anymore as the journey was amazing saw so many lakes, Swamps, rivers, mountains, massive hole sin the ground etc. Once we arrived in Bundaberg we were surrounded in churches, i started to freak out as i was imagining a horror movie were if you were not from around ehr then they would sacrifice you ... then i saw a cinema and forgot about that as all what came across my mind was TRANSFORMERS 2!! So as the kid i am i sprinted over the road ... almost getting hit by a car ... I have wanted to see it for ages as everyone back home has seen it and it only came out yesterday in Australia, so i went in to the cinema practically jumping like a kid!! So i went in there VERY VERY VERY excited and asked what times the showings were ................ The women asked "Transformers 2??" .... I was like "Yeh ones with Robots and all that amazing cool stuff .... she went to the board and said it wont be here for another 2weeks ... shitty little outback, hillbilly, incest town (yes it is all that) I HATE THIS PLACE !! Why would this happen to me!! Anyways made our way to the hostel we were staying at, saw it from a distance on the corner looked pretty good, so went in and got ourselfs booked in. A canadian guy called Phil who was really nice was telling us about the farmers here and how they will treat you like shit and just shout at you and insult you loads so you just have to bite your toungue, went up to our room and tryed opening the door but it wouldnt open, thought we had the wrong damn door at first! But after trying for about 5mins a Sweedish girl came along saying that its a really annoying door to open and when she couldnt open it a Norweigen girl came along and she opened it for us, they were our roomies, sharing a 4bed room with 3 girls!! AWSOME!! So with the last $200 left i had i spent 180$ on a hostel for a week (costy i know) so put the last $20 towards food. Started to like Bundaberg alot now as its a much quieter place and its more laid back than the cities. We have to get up by 0400hrs every morning to be put on the 'stand by list', which means if anyone has called in sick then the first person who got up and was waiting first in the room gets the job for the day and if there good enough then the farmer will ask them if they want a full time job, but we were warned about the Koreans (this hostel is full of them) apparently there really sneaky and say they were here before you even if your first!! So its a real cut throat place, so we decided to have something to eat (noodles ... AGAIN) and get an early night.
Thursday 25th June
Got up at about 0230hrs and went down stairs to have a look who was down there and there was 6people already there, Caroline had no clothes she didnt want to get ruined so she stayed in bed and i went back up as i thought there was no chance of getting work. The room was bladdy freezing, i dont know why they put the Air Conditioning on ... AT NIGHT! When its already cold enough at night! IDIOTS! So went back to sleep and got back up at 0830hrs so Caroline can get a tracksuit to work in the fields with ... O DEAR LORD! I forgot how annoying shopping with a girl is .... 3 hours later she actually picked something and spent over $100!! Because the stuff which was cheap she wouldnt be caught dead in ... even though we are working on a farm and going to get extremly dirty! So after that was about 1300hrs and we took a little walk round town to see what its all about ... people shout random crap at you and most of the people look like there on crack! So at about 1500hrs we went to WoolWorths and got some grub. When we got back to the hostel we chilled out for a bit. My Dad rang me to see how i was doing which was pretty cool, also bearing in mind that this is the most my Dad has had in contact with me for years, since i move to Australia hes actually worrying i think but so is everyone else back home as im bombarded with txts reguarly from people even over here in Australia, im not that accident prone am i??!! So after having a convo on the phone with my old man i decided to go make Caroline and me some grub ... here goes a first meal i try and cook really ... Pasta, tuna and sweetcorn .... I actually eat anything but i would never ever eat that pasta again, stupid cheapy 50cents pasta!! IT WAS NOT MY COOKING ... honest!! lol. So at about 2000hrs we decided to call it a night as we were getting up at 0200hrs for standby.2100hrs, its so damn cold and early i cant sleep.2200hrs, still cannot sleep.2300hrs, stilllllllllllllllll cannot sleep, doing some Suduko puzzles now.
Friday 26th June
0030hrs, last time i remember looking at the time before i fell asleep.0200hrs my alarm goes off so me and Caroline get up and go downstairs for 'Stand By', two people down here before us so we stand a good chance of getting a job, but they slept here over night the damn cheats! So 0400hrs rolled by and the bus driver came in with the list and shouted whos first ... Straight away i saw a Korean get up so i ran to the front and told Caroline to say here name after the first two, so she did, then he asked whos next and the Korean put his hand up so i pushed him and shouted me (I need a job more than him, its survival of the fittest here or in my case the bravest). No luck for the 0400hrs as everyones down here and ready so we sat down and watched T.V till 0600hrs, still no luck everyones here and acounted for. 0700hrs - 5 hours later with like one hours sleep, just about to give up as im knackered! Driver came in and asked the first 4 on the list if they wanted to pick Capsicums (red and green peppers) so that was Me, Caroline, Neena and some guy called Ollie who we met here. So off we go to pick some "Capsicums".THE MOST HARDEST WORK I HAVE DONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! It was soooooo hot, and it was very very fast paced but i was keeping up at the front, the buckets we had to fill were like half the size of a wheelie bin back home and we got payed $1 for every full bucket ... pathetic i know!! So after working my ass of the farmer loved me so much and offered me and Caroline a full time job, the farmers name was Joe and he was Mari, he was a legend, well nice, but alwasy kept on shouting "pick the good ones" and smoking weed in his truck, haha. So we finished at about 1230hrs and i picked 100 buckets so i was well chuffed, but filthy, thirsty, needing a smoke and STARVING (I have one huge appetite here in Aus!). So waiting for the bus back to the hostel as we are like 40mins away i turn on my phone and i get bombarded by txts from people saying Michael Jacksons dead, random as, i personally thought he would live for ever, o and a drunken txt of James i did not understand at all! So got back to the hostel and had a wash as i was well dirty from basically commando crawling on the floor picking damn capsicums! I then made us some bacon sarnies, which are my specialty so they were well nice! We just chilled out most of the day and when it came to the evening we watched a film called 'Into The Wild' .... MUM AND NAN PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM AS IT WILL FREAK YOU OUT! Its a film about a dude who goes 'backpacking' around America to do his 'Big Alaskan adventure' based on a true story and really good. So now were on the list its time to get to bed as were up at 0400hrs!
Saturday 27th June
0400hrs and were up and ready for work, well me anyways, for some reason i had loads of energy! Looked at the list and our names were on the stand by list still! WHAT IS GOING ON! So we waited till about 0900hrs and the others came back and said there was no work as it was raining, Rob said Joe wanted us back so we chilled out. Didnt bother going back to bed as i was awake now so we decided to stay up and watch Superbad, seen that film like 3 times since i have been to Australia and still love it! So after that we made some lunch and Rob plus the other 30+ people in the hostel asked if we wanted to go to the park and chip in $2 for some goon, so off we went! Was well good and had a right laugh and everyone was merry from all the goon. A couple of guys then tryed climbing up this tree which had no branches, so as the competitive person that i am i was going to beat them all no matter what, so i won and slid down the tree .... im now covered in damn splinters, there in me everywhere!! So we left the park at about 1700hrs and headed back to the hostel pretty tipsyyyyy! So we were going to a place called the federal which is an Off licence (a drive through one too, i know how cool drive your car through and get some bevvys) and at the back they had a garden where you can drink all your alcohol brought and it was only for backpackers, also had a club inside too, after a couple of hours the place was packed full of backpackers was pretty awsome.
Sunday 28th June
0200hrs i decided to call it a night wasted as i have work in 2hrs!! Walking back drunk some kids decided to shout at me and shit so i just carried on walking, apparently they do it to backpackers and then beat the shit oout of em and rob them so i was moving on pretty quick.1030hrs .......... FUCK!! Supposed to be up for work at 0400hrs!! Freaking out now, soooooo fired!! If fired your then kicked out of the hostel with no refund! Couple of hours later i went downstairs and saw Neena and the others come in and they said Joe was fine with it and understood and said he wanted us back which was awsome! So i went upstairs and told Caroline were being kicked out of the hostel, her face dropped and she started to freaaaaakkkk out!! I couldnt stop laughing so she realised i was only messing. So for the rest of the day i tryed getting the damn splinters of me!! Went and made some food and then went to bed.
So far i've had some real crazy adventures in these past 4 weeks, i am currently at an internet cafe just typing up the other weeks, will hopefully be done in the next couple of days, i assure you it gets very interesting and much more ... well ... dangerous i suppose but there was a phrase i saw which really opened my eyes on one day that i really wanted to go home as i had no hope or faith left here, the phrase was "One day your life will flash before your eyes ... So make sure its worth watching", so i took that as i sign, it was a sign that made me come here, its also something i know i have to do. I am not giving up until 2010, everything i have done in my life i have given up on, never had the will power to see anything through, but this is something im not giving up on so easy, even as hard as it gets and as down as i get, sulking gets you no where out here, theres no family or friends to turn too ... you really are alone out here, but this is my choice and i do not regret a single moment, i miss so many people back home. Its diffrent not seeing faces which i have grown accustomed to over the years, but i wont give to much away as the next chapters will explain....

Chapter 3 - My second week
Well this week hasn't been as interesting as last weeks but it was still a great laugh, im also typing this after 3 heavy nights and im still kinda drunk, sooooo my grammar is going to be even worse!!
Sunday 31st May (evening), well im starting where i left of last week when i was in the office typing. Once i finished typing my blog i went back to the hostel to meet up with the rest of my group to go for our meal up Sydney tower restaurant, which was amazing, the food was great (all you can eat), everyone started off with small portions but i stacked my plate im high with crap loads of meat! The view was amazing, we were slowly revolving so we saw the whole of sydney and it looked beautifull at night when its all alight, especialy the opera house as it was changing colours.
Later on that night when we all got back most of the group started to drink, i had a few then called it a night as i was shattered!
Monday 1st June, My bad luck day, The new OzIntro lot were here so i made some new friends, i have been speaking to Michelle alot over facebook before i left so it was good to finally meet her in person, she came over with her friend Ashley and they were sharing a room with Amber, Bonnie and Faye... o and some random guy who packed his stuff and left on wednesday but no one knows why, prob cause he tryed stripping in a club the night before.
But that was the only highlight of my day as everything was going wrong for me that day! Jordan, Lieshya, Craig, Daryl and Fi changed hostels so they were in the city but i stayed at Surfside with Brogan. In the morning i broke my phone and lost the back of it so that pisssed me off. When the other lot got there room i went over to see them and to book my flight up to Cairns, with my last $10 i was shitting it as i didnt know what the hell i was going to do for the rest of the week, when i got off the bus i realised that i forgot my passport so i couldnt book my flight... i was feeling proper rough and stressing out about everything that day but Jordan found a job for wednesday so that was one good thing. When i was making my way back from the city to go to my hostel i was sat on the bus with my 60 quid jeans which i havnt had for long and i jumped of the seat fast and got them caught on some metal spike or something so they ripped all the way from the waist straight down the back of my leg .... so i had to get of the bus with a massive rip down my jeans in a very bad mood! When i got back everyone found it funny but not me as loads of small things were just going wrong that day for me, but when i got back Brogan made me some dinner (shes a great cook and loves cooking). Everyone felt sorry for me so i had loads of hugs... and alcohol and Natalie brought me some chocolate so i was happy again.
That night we all got drunk with this weeks OzIntro group as Keenan, Howard, Lindsay, Chris and Tom where leaving at 0500hrs the next day to fly up to Cairns. Not much to explain as i dont remember much, haha.
Tuesday 2nd June, My Lucky day, Woke up in a much better mood today so i was hoping i would have a great day, which i soon did! Found $100 randomly in my bank so i could afford 3nights stay and some food for those days. But we were booking flights today so i was going to hang back for another week as i dont get my money till the 10th June but Fi-Fi was a legend and she loves me so she payed for my flight and said to give it back at the end of the month! CHEERS FI!
Everyone went back to Wake Up (there hostel in the city) and me and Brogan had nothing to do so after we had dinner we decided to go for a walk. We done the Coogee to Bondi beach walk which takes about 45mins .... took us 2hours through tropical rain which was practically flooding everything so we got drenched through! We made it finally though but spent about 10mins there then got the bus back! was about 2200hrs when we got back drenched but we had a great laugh on the way. Danni (girl who works at surfside) her mate Carly and a few others went back to her apartment to watch a film. I decided to head off early as i had to get up at 0500hrs for work the next day.
Wednesday 3rd June, My Working day, 0500hrs i was up washed and ready for my first days work here in Australia earning 420 per hour which is a tenner back home, so it was pretty sweet. Went and met Brogans brother Jordan at Wake up as he was working with me today .... i told him to meet me outside at 0645hrs but he wasnt there and when i rang he was still asleep, he expected me to wake him up!! On the way there i was crying with laughter as Jordan was freaking out about this guy were working for, he was freaking out about if he kidnaps us, makes us do things to each other, rapes us and cut us up. I was laughing so hard but i have to admit i was freaking out too so we came up with an massive story to make us seem like were expert fighters and we do boxing professionally. When we met him he only had two seats in his car so he asked who was going to jump in first ... Jordan said i would go first straight away so i was freaking out the whole way. As soon as we both got there (not knowing exactly what we were supposed to be doing) we went to this massive warehouse where we had to move massive boxes of chocolate and cans of drink. It was supposed to be 6 hours work but we blasted through it in 3hrs so he payed us for 4hrs ... i wanted more as we worked hard, lol.
Left Jordan at the city and made my way back to Surfside, Brogan was at work so i went and got a McDonalds ... yes i know im lazy and couldnt be bothered to cook even though all the other girls were offering to cook for me, was great! Just chilled out that night with everyone in the common room watching a few films then had an early night, only person left in my group was Ali as Natalie left in the morning to go to a diffrent hostel with her fella. Ali drank my goon and got drunk and then went to bed as she was leaving at 0500hrs the next morning.
Thursday 4th June, My boring day, Well i had a nice lay in today as i knew i was the only one left in my room and everyone was at work so i was bored out of my head .... so i decided to get all the mattresses in my room and make a lil fort drinking my goon and doing my suduku puzzle's. Before Brog went to work we went looking for a nice place to have lunch and found this well nice noodle bar, was some great food and i had loads so i took some back with me for dinner later as Brog was working again, haha.
Later on i put everything back to were it belonged (apart from all my clothes and other crap which was just thrown about everywhere), 3 people arrived to stay in my room call Andy, Mikey and Caroline (Irish). They all crashed pretty early as they were jet lagged so i started to drink some more goon with this weeks OzIntro and i got pretty wasted
, when Brog got back we went to the shop and got some cooked chicken and some salad and made some dinner. I have never eat so healthy in my life, as Brog is a proper fitness girl she likes to watch what she eats sometimes so i think i may come back with that ripped body! haha.
Friday 5th June, My messy night with Irish, me and Brog were just chilling in the day as she had no work and i was a bum. Later on i went to Bottlers (shop what sells alcohol as supermarkets are not alowed to sell them here) and got a big box of goon and then decided to start drinking at like 1500hrs ... on my own, Brog then went and met the others at Wake up and went for a drink but as i was so poor i couldnt go.
So Mikey and Irish were drinking with me for a bit but Mikey was feeling ill so he went to bed early, by about 1800hrs i was hammered with Irish (Caroline), i made quite a few drunken international calls that night. Then Irish wanted to go to the Palace which is a club just over the road which is massive, even has Jacuzzi's in the club!! I dont remember anything of this night so this is where im typing what people have told me .... i lost Caroline in the club after out drinking some Aussie boys so i stumbled home apparently and carried on drinking at Surfside with the OzIntro lot .... i was dancing loads, picking everyone up, having arm wrestles with everyone and not making any sense at all. I the apparently fell asleep on the computers where i had to be carried to bed but apprently i opened a window to an empty room and crashed out in a random room which had no one in it.
Saturday 6th June, My homesickness, I was woke up in the morning as Brogan was knocking on the door, i was feeling rough as anything and so was she as she was pretty drunk last night, i was then freaking out as i did not know where the hell i was or what happened last night! It was once i had breakfast and checked in the room that i noticed Caroline hadnt slept in her bed, apparently she didnt come back last night so i was freaking out even more.
Me and Brog went to town as i had to get some money as i was screwed so i waited to hear from the others for when Caroline got back, as soon as me and Brog walked through the great city centre we arrived home to see Caroline there, i apparently had her keys on me from last night and she was chucking stones at the windows for agesssss, then she went back with some Aussie guys and drank all night and hadnt slept yet, but we were both cracking up about it, even when she gave me right evils when i asked if she got lucky .... she didnt, lol.
Me, Brog, Mikey and Leigh (girl from this weeks OzIntro) went to the beach as it was such a nice hot day for a swim and to get some tanage on the go! After spending a couple hours down there i went up with alot of the OzIntro lot to the office as they were going to book flights up to Cairns too. I was proper moping around all day though as i felt like shit and was missing everyone back home! Once everyone got everything booked we went back to the hostel. This weeks OzIntro had there pub crawl tonight so we got the whole hostel out to a full moon party at this giant club next door, which was awsome. All the girls were dolled up and looking HOT and the girl guy ratio is great, haha. I then drank through my hangover with Irish and we went out to get hammered again. I lost $5 at a downing competition so thatwas a waste but after being kicked out of the club we wall went back to the hostel to drink, all the Ozintro lot were back from there pub crawl ... it was 0400hrs when we got back, me and Irish were wasted again and i spoke to her Dad on the phone saying that i will look after her and that shes coming up to Cairns and i cant wait to see her in her Bikini, haha. I then rang home and spoke to my little brother Harrison on the phone, which i dont remember anything of. Finally got to sleep at like 0600hrs ... one guy at the hostel had been drinking for 36hrs, mental!! Also met two girls from next weeks OzIntro .... so i gave them a tour round and they came out drinking too.
Sunday 7th June, My tan and blog day, Well sadly were at the end of this weeks follow up of my adventure! I know sad isnt it. Been to the beach today tanning it up with a few of the people from the hostel, got burried in the sand and after jumping in the sea it sorted out my hangover right away.
Tonight we have drinking games on the go and the guys from Wake Up are coming down so i get to see them! All in all this week hasnt been as adventurous as last week but i would deffinatly say its been more alcohol fueled, my liver must taste like white wine! Its my last weekend here in Sydney until Christmas now so were gunna have a good drink with everyone tonight, i will clear up all my crap tomorrow too, lol. Im going to start writing down everything i do in a journal as i forget quite a bit of my journey by the end of the week, especially as im writing this right now still drunk!!! REYYYY. lol. Next week is going to be great as i've seen pictures of Cairns from the guys up north and it looks amazing, proper sandy beaches and everything. Got a few texts of em saying i'll be like a kid in a candy store with the amount of women around! They know me already, haha. but it should be awsome in 2 weeks time there is going to be tons of people i know up in Cairns so its going to be great fun, especially when we go out, like over 30 of us will be together! And as always im the loudest, cant have anyone taking that title away from me, haha. Even though i felt homesick yesterday im still loving this country, everyone i meet up with is so friendly and i get along with everyone even if the girls were annoyed with me this morning for running in there room drunk and sleeping on the bed, haha. Im also going to make sure that next week im not going to be drunk or hungover when typing this as it probably makes no sense at all and im just rabbling on! Missing and Loving ya all, heard England had some great sun this week!

When the other lot got there room i went over to see them and to book my flight up to Cairns, with my last $10 i was shitting it as i didnt know what the hell i was going to do for the rest of the week, when i got off the bus i realised that i forgot my passport so i couldnt book my flight... i was feeling proper rough and stressing out about everything that day but Jordan found a job for wednesday so that was one good thing. When i was making my way back from the city to go to my hostel i was sat on the bus with my 60 quid jeans which i havnt had for long and i jumped of the seat fast and got them caught on some metal spike or something so they ripped all the way from the waist straight down the back of my leg .... so i had to get of the bus with a massive rip down my jeans in a very bad mood! When i got back everyone found it funny but not me as loads of small things were just going wrong that day for me, but when i got back Brogan made me some dinner (shes a great cook and loves cooking). Everyone felt sorry for me so i had loads of hugs... and alcohol and Natalie brought me some chocolate so i was happy again.
That night we all got drunk with this weeks OzIntro group as Keenan, Howard, Lindsay, Chris and Tom where leaving at 0500hrs the next day to fly up to Cairns. Not much to explain as i dont remember much, haha.
Tuesday 2nd June, My Lucky day, Woke up in a much better mood today so i was hoping i would have a great day, which i soon did! Found $100 randomly in my bank so i could afford 3nights stay and some food for those days. But we were booking flights today so i was going to hang back for another week as i dont get my money till the 10th June but Fi-Fi was a legend and she loves me so she payed for my flight and said to give it back at the end of the month! CHEERS FI!
Everyone went back to Wake Up (there hostel in the city) and me and Brogan had nothing to do so after we had dinner we decided to go for a walk. We done the Coogee to Bondi beach walk which takes about 45mins .... took us 2hours through tropical rain which was practically flooding everything so we got drenched through! We made it finally though but spent about 10mins there then got the bus back! was about 2200hrs when we got back drenched but we had a great laugh on the way. Danni (girl who works at surfside) her mate Carly and a few others went back to her apartment to watch a film. I decided to head off early as i had to get up at 0500hrs for work the next day.
Wednesday 3rd June, My Working day, 0500hrs i was up washed and ready for my first days work here in Australia earning 420 per hour which is a tenner back home, so it was pretty sweet. Went and met Brogans brother Jordan at Wake up as he was working with me today .... i told him to meet me outside at 0645hrs but he wasnt there and when i rang he was still asleep, he expected me to wake him up!! On the way there i was crying with laughter as Jordan was freaking out about this guy were working for, he was freaking out about if he kidnaps us, makes us do things to each other, rapes us and cut us up. I was laughing so hard but i have to admit i was freaking out too so we came up with an massive story to make us seem like were expert fighters and we do boxing professionally. When we met him he only had two seats in his car so he asked who was going to jump in first ... Jordan said i would go first straight away so i was freaking out the whole way. As soon as we both got there (not knowing exactly what we were supposed to be doing) we went to this massive warehouse where we had to move massive boxes of chocolate and cans of drink. It was supposed to be 6 hours work but we blasted through it in 3hrs so he payed us for 4hrs ... i wanted more as we worked hard, lol.
Left Jordan at the city and made my way back to Surfside, Brogan was at work so i went and got a McDonalds ... yes i know im lazy and couldnt be bothered to cook even though all the other girls were offering to cook for me, was great! Just chilled out that night with everyone in the common room watching a few films then had an early night, only person left in my group was Ali as Natalie left in the morning to go to a diffrent hostel with her fella. Ali drank my goon and got drunk and then went to bed as she was leaving at 0500hrs the next morning.
Thursday 4th June, My boring day, Well i had a nice lay in today as i knew i was the only one left in my room and everyone was at work so i was bored out of my head .... so i decided to get all the mattresses in my room and make a lil fort drinking my goon and doing my suduku puzzle's. Before Brog went to work we went looking for a nice place to have lunch and found this well nice noodle bar, was some great food and i had loads so i took some back with me for dinner later as Brog was working again, haha.
Later on i put everything back to were it belonged (apart from all my clothes and other crap which was just thrown about everywhere), 3 people arrived to stay in my room call Andy, Mikey and Caroline (Irish). They all crashed pretty early as they were jet lagged so i started to drink some more goon with this weeks OzIntro and i got pretty wasted
, when Brog got back we went to the shop and got some cooked chicken and some salad and made some dinner. I have never eat so healthy in my life, as Brog is a proper fitness girl she likes to watch what she eats sometimes so i think i may come back with that ripped body! haha.
Friday 5th June, My messy night with Irish, me and Brog were just chilling in the day as she had no work and i was a bum. Later on i went to Bottlers (shop what sells alcohol as supermarkets are not alowed to sell them here) and got a big box of goon and then decided to start drinking at like 1500hrs ... on my own, Brog then went and met the others at Wake up and went for a drink but as i was so poor i couldnt go.
So Mikey and Irish were drinking with me for a bit but Mikey was feeling ill so he went to bed early, by about 1800hrs i was hammered with Irish (Caroline), i made quite a few drunken international calls that night. Then Irish wanted to go to the Palace which is a club just over the road which is massive, even has Jacuzzi's in the club!! I dont remember anything of this night so this is where im typing what people have told me .... i lost Caroline in the club after out drinking some Aussie boys so i stumbled home apparently and carried on drinking at Surfside with the OzIntro lot .... i was dancing loads, picking everyone up, having arm wrestles with everyone and not making any sense at all. I the apparently fell asleep on the computers where i had to be carried to bed but apprently i opened a window to an empty room and crashed out in a random room which had no one in it.
Saturday 6th June, My homesickness, I was woke up in the morning as Brogan was knocking on the door, i was feeling rough as anything and so was she as she was pretty drunk last night, i was then freaking out as i did not know where the hell i was or what happened last night! It was once i had breakfast and checked in the room that i noticed Caroline hadnt slept in her bed, apparently she didnt come back last night so i was freaking out even more.
Me and Brog went to town as i had to get some money as i was screwed so i waited to hear from the others for when Caroline got back, as soon as me and Brog walked through the great city centre we arrived home to see Caroline there, i apparently had her keys on me from last night and she was chucking stones at the windows for agesssss, then she went back with some Aussie guys and drank all night and hadnt slept yet, but we were both cracking up about it, even when she gave me right evils when i asked if she got lucky .... she didnt, lol.
Me, Brog, Mikey and Leigh (girl from this weeks OzIntro) went to the beach as it was such a nice hot day for a swim and to get some tanage on the go! After spending a couple hours down there i went up with alot of the OzIntro lot to the office as they were going to book flights up to Cairns too. I was proper moping around all day though as i felt like shit and was missing everyone back home! Once everyone got everything booked we went back to the hostel. This weeks OzIntro had there pub crawl tonight so we got the whole hostel out to a full moon party at this giant club next door, which was awsome. All the girls were dolled up and looking HOT and the girl guy ratio is great, haha. I then drank through my hangover with Irish and we went out to get hammered again. I lost $5 at a downing competition so thatwas a waste but after being kicked out of the club we wall went back to the hostel to drink, all the Ozintro lot were back from there pub crawl ... it was 0400hrs when we got back, me and Irish were wasted again and i spoke to her Dad on the phone saying that i will look after her and that shes coming up to Cairns and i cant wait to see her in her Bikini, haha. I then rang home and spoke to my little brother Harrison on the phone, which i dont remember anything of. Finally got to sleep at like 0600hrs ... one guy at the hostel had been drinking for 36hrs, mental!! Also met two girls from next weeks OzIntro .... so i gave them a tour round and they came out drinking too.
Sunday 7th June, My tan and blog day, Well sadly were at the end of this weeks follow up of my adventure! I know sad isnt it. Been to the beach today tanning it up with a few of the people from the hostel, got burried in the sand and after jumping in the sea it sorted out my hangover right away.
Tonight we have drinking games on the go and the guys from Wake Up are coming down so i get to see them! All in all this week hasnt been as adventurous as last week but i would deffinatly say its been more alcohol fueled, my liver must taste like white wine! Its my last weekend here in Sydney until Christmas now so were gunna have a good drink with everyone tonight, i will clear up all my crap tomorrow too, lol. Im going to start writing down everything i do in a journal as i forget quite a bit of my journey by the end of the week, especially as im writing this right now still drunk!!! REYYYY. lol. Next week is going to be great as i've seen pictures of Cairns from the guys up north and it looks amazing, proper sandy beaches and everything. Got a few texts of em saying i'll be like a kid in a candy store with the amount of women around! They know me already, haha. but it should be awsome in 2 weeks time there is going to be tons of people i know up in Cairns so its going to be great fun, especially when we go out, like over 30 of us will be together! And as always im the loudest, cant have anyone taking that title away from me, haha. Even though i felt homesick yesterday im still loving this country, everyone i meet up with is so friendly and i get along with everyone even if the girls were annoyed with me this morning for running in there room drunk and sleeping on the bed, haha. Im also going to make sure that next week im not going to be drunk or hungover when typing this as it probably makes no sense at all and im just rabbling on! Missing and Loving ya all, heard England had some great sun this week!

I've survived just over one week!
Sorry about not writing on here sooner guys but this week has been one busy and messy week for me!! I'll start from the beginning,
Well after leaving a crying Mother, Nan, Auntie, Uncle and my best mates James and Steve (Yeh they cryed), i went on my 24hr flight to Australia but had a stop off in Hong Kong, the airport was absolutly massive!! Took me bout 20mins running to get one side to the other (i had 25mins to catch my flight or i would be stuck there), while i was on the flight i was sat next to a nice Australian lady who was telling me about loads of stuff about Sydney and new south wales so was very interesting.
I arrived at Sydney airport at about 0600hrs on Sunday 24th May which back home it would be like 2000hrs on the Saturday, i got lost and couldnt find the guy who was giving me a lift to the hostel so i spent half an hour trying to find him. met up with another guy who was joining me on my first week here in Sydney with this company, his name is Howard.
After arriving to the hostel in the amazing sun, right on the beach with girls walking round in bikini's i knew that i loved this country straight away! I then met a couple more people in our group, Brogan and her brother Jordan, straight away we went out and had breakfast and a really nice place so was a good way to blow some money straight away! After that me, Jordan, Brogan and Howard went for a walk round sydney but didnt go far as we were getting lost so we went back to the hostel and we met Leishya and Daryl.
Monday 25th May, i was up at 0600hrs after a heavy night drinking and i passed out at 2100 so i had plenty of sleep! After having some breakfast the rest of the group arrived; Fiona, Craig, Frankie, Mike, Natalie, Keenan, Lyndsay, Tom, Chris and Ali. So including me, Brogan, Jordan, Howard, Leishya and Daryl there was 16 in our soon to be close group.
In the afternoon we were all put into our rooms and they were mixed rooms so was great! haha. After we've been put into our rooms we all got onto our bus and took a tour round Sydney and had a walk through some of the parks were we saw hundreds of fruit bats flying around everywhere! We carried on walking through the national park and ended up in right outside the Sydney Opera House, which was amazing. We then carried on walking next to Sydney harbour to were we all got on a jet boat and got soaked while it was speeding around the harbour. After that when we all got back we chipped in on some food and we all cooked a meal .... well Brogan did! After that we all sat in the room i was in and got drunk and got to know each other, that night we had someone fall down the stairs as they were that wasted, so naturally i laughed but he's ok.
Tuesday 26th May, this was a pretty boring morning as we had to get all our paperworks sorted out (bank accounts, medical cards etc.), after that we went to the Aquarium and saw tons of amazing deadly sea creatures! After that we all had a meal on the harbour and by then it just seemed we all knew each other for so long as everyone was getting along so well. When we got back we all got ready as we were hitting the town out in Sydney!! It got VERY messy, i fell asleep outside (needed a quick power nap, lol) but soon woke up and then there was a wet T-Shirt competition going on so that was ... interesting, couple of girls in our group done that so that was funny as! That night a couple of people were in beds together so that was a good laugh, i just came back carrying on drinking with a few people and then ran down to the beach and jumped in the sea .... i kinda then went streaking so was interesting ...
Wednesday 27th May, we were up at 0800hrs as it was SURFING DAY! The weather was pretty shit rained a bit but here in Australia that doesnt really matter as it was still hot and the sea was great, was a very funny day as loads of people were falling off and that. I caught a few good waves and these waves are HUGE! I went sideways on one until it crashed down on me and i was beaten the crap out of by my board! We had a barbie on the beach and a couple of the Ozzie's and Frenchie were singing, playing fottie and playing on the bongo so was a good laugh! That night most people fell asleep as they were all knackered, i crashed straight out as i felt really rough that night.
Thursday 28th May, we went to the ZOO! Was an awsome day as i touched a kangaroo and as me, Brogan, Fi and Daryl split off we were by ourselfs having a great laugh pissing about and seeing who looked like what animal there where so many diffrent types of animals and the Zoo was huge, we spent the whole day there so later on we all came back and chilled for a bit and then the group went out but i thought i would stay in with Leishya and Brogan ... naturally but then i decided to go out and get pissed with the others and our group leader Robyn (Shiela) we all got pretty wasted as we were all doing downing competitions, this massive club which has 7 diffrent rooms and has the third biggest beer garden in Australia! About 5mins later on a bouncer came up to Jordan in our group and asked if he had sexual intercourse with another guy in the toilets so we all started cracking up thinking he was having a joke as Jordan always has his mind on woman ... soon did we find out he was and Jordan was kicked out so we all got a bit loud and that as we found it funny but stupid. While Robyn was arguing with one of the bouncers the other one said it was because of drugs so we were pissed of as we think it was blatintly cause were British, so when i came out i just shouted past the bouncer "Hey guys i just done a line of coke of a guys ass in there" he wasnt impressed but then everyone was saying it for the rest of the night. After that we brought the party back to the hostel and was drinking this horrible wine called "GOON" we drink that as its the cheapest thing and everything is just so expensive here in Sydney, after a few drinks we were all hammered dancing around singing and waking everyone up basically. That night Fi and Robyn gave me massive love bites on the side of my neck which was funny as fuck as when i woke up in the morning i wondered what went on!
Friday 29th May, So after that heavy night we got up at 0600hrs for our trip up the BLUE MOUNTAINS! This was what i was looking foward to all week, we had a guide called Smokey who was telling us about all the deadly creatures and plants here, and how to survive of the mountain. While we were trekking up massive steep hills we saw some beautifull sights which were just amazing, pictures could not even show how amazing it was to just actually be there looking out, it really was breath taking.
On this trek through, up and down this massive place we were taught a hell of alot about the Aborigine tribes here in the mountains, it was great learning how they survived and there way of life which is to date the longest living tribe known, longer than the Aztecs and there still going today. We had some lunch on the mountains too and then we got a cage tram which used to be used for mining back up the rest of the way which was really steep , was more like a rollercoaster!
When we all got back that night Brogan and Craig went to the Casino and then the rest of us got some beers (yeh we thought we would splash out) and a few boxes of goon and got drunk .... again!
Saturday 30th May, we had this day to sort out what we were all doing next week, have our talks and understand how much things are going to cost. Me, Daryl, Fi, Leishya, Jordan and Brogan have decided to go up next week (8th June) to Cairns where we are hoping to find a place to stay and work for a couple of months so we have money to travel back down the east coast. and the rest of the group apart from, Natalie, Chris, Frankie and Mike (there leaving on Tuesday but going to diffrent places round the country). So the rest our leaving on Tuesday 2nd June to go up to Cairns straight away but we are going to meet them up there as not many of us have the money and things sorted yet (especially Brogan as she keeps changing her mind to wether or not she stays in Sydney earning $500 a week and meet us in a month or to come up with us .... she will come up with us tho as im going to make her, haha)
Me and Jordan went to the pub at 1200hrs to start drinking but i went back to get ready and a few hours later i went back there and he was steaming, was cracking me right up when he was drunk.
Later on this night we had our group pub crawl! So at 2000hrs we got on the party bus and had a free drink at every club we went to .... some clubs are so big they have escalators going up! So was great as i was dancing with a couple of the girls that night .. as you do! Leishya was VERY drunk so me and Brogan took here back to the hostel as she wanted to go home (i misssed out on free drinks!!), me and Brogan sat up watching the Chelsea vs Everton match (yeh she loves footie) so i was trying to get into it, i was too! Then we stayed up for a few hours chatting until the others came back, well i actually fell asleep fell asleep, lol. Then when the others came back they were missing Daryl and Fi as they stayed on in the club i then looked at my phone and i had about 20 missed calls and loads of txts from them not happy about me leaving!! haha. We were all dressed up as UV ravers and everyone signed my T-Shirt and the rest of my body, lol.
Sunday 31st May, Another day to do what we want to do so alot of us just went down to the beach and had a swim and caught some rays so we were all just chilling while everyone was hanging BAD! Met a few of the girls who are going on next weeks Oz Intro week so was chatting to them for a bit and then went up to the Oz intro office to upload my pics on facebook and upload this blog! So im basically writing what i've been doing right now.
Later on tonight tho we have our meal up the Sydney tower restaurant (highest point in sydney) so im going to eat come kangaroo and croc! What tonight will bring you will just have to wait until i update it next!!
All in all i couldn't have thought of my week to have gone any better, met some great people which feels like i have known for years and were just like one family. Also feels like i've been in Oz for ages too. Its scuh a beautifull and chilled out place everyones happy here and friendly! I cant wait to see what the rest of my time here in Oz will bring but one thing i know is that im going to make sure i get my second year visa and i will be travelling around with people from thsi weeks Oz Intro, but even tho alot of us are splitting up were all going too meet up hopefully around September for my 21st! Then come back to Sydney in December with Brogan so we can celebrate her 21st!!
I basically have $100 left now sooooo i kinda need to ring some family, lol. I hopefully start my job on Tuesday working in a shop for a week before i travel up too Cairns, but we shall see! Then we stayed up for a few hours chatting until the others came back, well i actually fell asleep fell asleep, lol. Then when the others came back they were missing Daryl and Fi as they stayed on in the club i then looked at my phone and i had about 20 missed calls and loads of txts from them not happy about me leaving!! haha. We were all dressed up as UV ravers and everyone signed my T-Shirt and the rest of my body, lol.
Sunday 31st May, Another day to do what we want to do so alot of us just went down to the beach and had a swim and caught some rays so we were all just chilling while everyone was hanging BAD! Met a few of the girls who are going on next weeks Oz Intro week so was chatting to them for a bit and then went up to the Oz intro office to upload my pics on facebook and upload this blog! So im basically writing what i've been doing right now.
Later on tonight tho we have our meal up the Sydney tower restaurant (highest point in sydney) so im going to eat come kangaroo and croc! What tonight will bring you will just have to wait until i update it next!!
All in all i couldn't have thought of my week to have gone any better, met some great people which feels like i have known for years and were just like one family. Also feels like i've been in Oz for ages too. Its scuh a beautifull and chilled out place everyones happy here and friendly! I cant wait to see what the rest of my time here in Oz will bring but one thing i know is that im going to make sure i get my second year visa and i will be travelling around with people from thsi weeks Oz Intro, but even tho alot of us are splitting up were all going too meet up hopefully around September for my 21st! Then come back to Sydney in December with Brogan so we can celebrate her 21st!!
I basically have $100 left now sooooo i kinda need to ring some family, lol. I hopefully start my job on Tuesday working in a shop for a week before i travel up too Cairns, but we shall see! Missing so many people and i will speak to you all soon but wont see you for a long time!!! Hope your all doing well!
